This poor guy. I hate it for him.

Is there a basketball Bagger Vance? That's what that movie is about right?

What a bizarre story. He was great in college and fun to watch. Super smooth. He reminded me of a more explosive Brandon Roy.

I think his shoulder didn't heal correctly, it's like he has trouble lifting the right arm up and transitioning forward while going through a shooting motion. So he did this weird thing because the side to side motion helps the tension.

Did he have a labral tear? Because it's connected to the bicep, could be causing this.

Or, it's all mental, and is stuck in his own head. Which seems FAR more likely.

People who act like Philly did something crazy clearly didn't watch Fultz play and are writers of revisionist history.

What was Washington's record when he was MONEY and clearly the best NBA prospect?

I called this kid not being good MONTHS before the draft(I think. I might be unintentionally lying here. But i damn sure made it known that I didn't think he was good).

Was it his right shoulder?

Knowing the mechanics of throwing motions I think I agree with you.

What makes Fultz's shite so weird is he gets RIGHT to the transition where he loads the shoulder to begin the forward launch and something catches. For him it probably feels like something in his shoulder has to roll UP over something. Like a catch that that pinches in his shoulder.

So his shot moved from his feet up through his legs through his core and shoulders where he has a hitch.

Which is awful because at this point he's off the ground and doesn't have anything to correct it with.

I’m with you. The fact that the number 1 pick led his team to a 9 win season is just pathetic and should have been a huge red flag.

I doubt college wins is a highly predictive stat for NBA success.

And I'm wrong WAY more than I'm right when it comes to basketball. And I'm probably deserve to be slapped in the face when it comes to "scouting" college players. Btw, I don't do this very often at all...bc I don't watch much college basketball.

But Washington being led by Fultz was BANANAS. The 9 wins.....EVEN THOUGH IT WAS JUST 9.....were HIGHLY devious.

To be fair, I think this new “motion” is probably a good start.

It’s clear his issue is mental. So make him create those movements to give him less to think about. It’s weird to think about, but the more going on in his free throws, the less time he has to overthink the shot.
