The irony of Cuban selling majority stake in the Mavs is he sold them to the Adelson Family(Casino empire) who are one of the biggest Trump doners. They gave millions to Trump.

Not really. He got 3.5 billion from them.

It's actually not. The company he sold was worth nothing after the dot com crash. It was a worthless company he managed to luckily ditch at the perfect time.

He's the tech version of Adam Neuman.

Role With Mavericks Not Exactly What He Expected

Seems like it is based on his quote
quote:

"It's not a whole lot different than right before I sold the team," Cuban said. "Nico was doing pretty much everything and I would give him my thoughts and my feedback — just like I do now.

It must be nice having the kind of delusion OP has to make things seem the way he wants them to be even with confronted with evidence to the contrary

OP is quoting Cuban in the thread title. Why didn't you quote the very next paragraph?
quote:

Then he added: "You're right — I'm not there making day-to-day decisions. That's all Nico. That's just the way it's evolved. Honestly … is it exactly the way I expected it to be? No

Ridiculous. He started a business in college that he sold for $6 million (in 1990) - which gave him the risk capital to start the larger business...that he sold for $6 BILLION. He was smart enough to understand the concept of a bubble, so he hedged a good portion of the Yahoo stock he was given in the transaction.

This left him with enough frick you money to purchase an ailing franchise and turn them into champions. He was harshly criticized at the time for his methods (some of which included providing luxuries for his players like nicer air travel and expensive towels).

Ridiculous. Neuman is an actual grifting huckster who stole from his own company.

Nobody - not even Cuban himself - would argue that luck didn't play a factor in his success (most notably being the right age to get leverage off of the tech bubble). But this has been a highly motivated individual from a young age that has brought success to almost every venture he's attempted.

I think you must have been talking about Kamala Harris and not Mark Cuban.

It sounds similar to when he brings other Sharks in with him on deals on Shark Tank.

He sold it for $6 BILLION 20 odd years ago?

His current net worth is $5.7 BILLION

How big of an idiot cannot increase a $6 BILLION stake in 20 years? There are old widow women that do better.

Mark Cuban did like 1 or 2 things right in the 1990's before the dotcom bubble burst and he bought the Mavs in 2000. Every single other thing he's ever done has been a waste of money and time, fleecing/robbing investors and being a complete bullshite artist.

He doesn't know shite about shite and if he shows up anywhere with an idea, it's a bad one.
