Notre Dame coach Marcus Freeman made a comment about Ohio State’s academics in an interview with CBS Sports and Ohio State fans took issue with it on Twitter.

“You don’t go to class [at places like that]?” Freeman said rhetorically during the interview. “Okay, take some online classes, show up for your appointments. At Notre Dame, you’re forced every day to go to class.”

Why give osu game 1 bulletin board material? He may be right, but in my view, a coach that is 0-1 as HC, with that loss being an embarrassing choke job, shouldn't be talking shite.

Seems like something O would do.

Players coach, great recruiter, and putting his foot in his mouth.

OSU players already know they don't have to go to class. Why would they be mad about this?

Ohio State is going to annihilate them. How has Freeman proven that he is going to be this star coach? Why didn't ND go after Fickell? Something tells me they might be in the coaching market again within 5 years.

Also, Freeman is an OSU alum. I'm guessing he has no desire to ever have that head job if Day were to ever leave.

So just shite on the efforts of 60+ black kids trying to get a degree while playing a sport for white people’s enjoyment?

These coaches are unreal.

My media needs to hold these old coaches to the fire for this old and frankly racist thinking.

If that is the case Marcus, why would you lower yourself then?

Ohio State is going to likely wipe their asses with them regardless.

Didn't Justin Fields say he never stepped foot on the actual campus or something along those lines?

Marcus Freeman

Ohio State Alum

Dude needs to have more respect for the diploma that has his name on it, unless he's saying it's worthless.

Edited because my smarter OSU brother called me out for being an idiot.

Should have taken more online classes

Means absolutely nothing. Bulletin board material does nothing for you once you start a game and does nothing to help you.

Having to be pro Notre Dame twice in the same week is harder than passing a kidney stone.

Didn't Andy Katzenmoyer say that decades ago in the 90s?

I'm not here to go to class, I'm here to play football.

This not news. IT'S EVERY football factory.
Ohio State, OG NIL frontrunners.

Wouldn't this be a negative for ND on the recruiting trail, at least for some kids?
