Bruh I have a ton of experience with addiction and
just is not accurate across the board. Some people are born pre disposed to addiction, yes. There are a ton of other factors as well.

But even pre disposed addictions are learned, are they not? Meaning, a child who is five isn't craving liquor. At some point that child gets his first taste of liquor and mentally trains himself that liquor > certain life obligations. They're definitely more prone to the addiction, I agree, but somewhere along the line they are mentally overtaken(which would lead back to stunted mental growth).

I don't understand how there was coke left all over the table the morning after.

Addicts and former addicts know if you are an addict. That dude is an addict. I don't know how anyone could dispute that.

He's displaying severe addiction symptoms. Hell, he's thrown away MILLIONS and a career in the NFL over drugs. I stopped defending him shortly after his last year at A&M, but now I just hope he doesn't end up dead. If he doesn't get help (or if nobody forces him in to an institution), he will be in everybody's celebrity death pool if he isn't already.

They were supposed to check out at noon. Manziel was passed out. ... There was cocaine all over the kitchen table, and mushrooms were still out on the table in front of him. There was booze everywhere...broken glasses over the floor and a champagne glass in a tree. If they don't respond to our demand for compensation, we will sue.

Wow, imagine if he was even of average looks... he'd be in even worse shape with the partying

Who knew his partying would be such a problem? Such a shocker for everyone.

It's weird how we can all look collectively look at Gronk and realize that his partying is awesome, acceptable bro partying and then we look at Manziel and realize that he's on most celebrity death pools and has a serious problem

It's not the amount of a substance you take that makes you an addict, it's the reason, the way it impacts the rest of your life, and ability to stop at any time.

He needs to pace himself if he wants to make the 27 club

Trashed?
I know what you think it means, sonny. To me, it's just a made up word, a tabloid word, so that young fellas like yourself can click on a link and read a story to feel better about themselves. What do you really wanna know? Am I sorry for what I did?

What typically sucks the most is that someone like this has to want to help themselves before anything or anyone else can do something about it. I have someone in my life who has been given every chance in the world for over 14 years, and still chooses the way of addiction and bad people/choices/you name it.
THe people in this situation normally think they have it all figured out, they know what's best for them, and that they certainly don't have a problem. You can't tell them anything. It is either going to take something coming into his life that he thinks is worth living for, God, or some near death experience to finally get through to him. No amount of rehab or begging will help him until he wants to be helped. You can take that to the bank
And to those arguing about whether he's an addict? You kidding me bra
