First of all, that may or may not be true. Looking like probably not right now. Second off, Jones is being drafted on his pass rushing potential. Same as Barkevious Mingo. Surely nobody thinks Mingo is better than Te'o as well.
Go watch the link that I posted a couple pages ago of Jarvis Jones against Alabama. That isn't elite linebacker play. He was pushed around like a schoolboy all game. If you think Te'o will look that bad against Bama this January, you are delusional.
