Karl Malone, you are on the clock.

The rules are that NIL is allowed to unlimited amounts. This is actually better than when Kentucky would cheat.

I figured MSU could be a threat here with Gilbert, Ishbia, Magic, and then even some guys like Draymond.

LOL. Is this going to be like when he bought the Dodgers? He was just fronting for someone else. Magic doesn't have that kind of money.

Without looking it up, I think he has hundreds of millions, but not billions.

Shaq is richer than Magic i believe

If you had money like Ishbia, Gilbert, and Magic you have to think of owning a pro team versus bankrolling NIL. There is no ROI on NIL, but your money can make more of a difference. In the NFL and NBA there's a cap and draft and your money can only do so much. But in college your money can make more of a difference. If you are worth a billion then even 100 million in an endowment for NIL can make a much bigger impact than having to pay a GM for example and have to deal with a draft and salary cap. There is no draft or salary cap in the NIL era.

Good then maybe Shaq should bankroll some NIL for LSU hoops.

Ishbia had a NIL deal with MSU but ended it in 2023. Izzo must be against it because that seems like some pretty easy resources to hit up.

Magic has a shite ton of business interests, wouldn't be surprised if he's worth close to a billion by now

Shaq is probably richer in actual money in the bank but Magic is a giant investment spider and probably "worth" north of a billion

It’s fake but Magic is a billionaire.

This craze will end soon when the elites realize they're pissing away millions for 9 win seasons.

Nothing negative about that. Huge positive for Michigan State.

That's what I would think. Damn, sure not knocking that.
But saying that he will give MSU unlimited resources, may be slightly misleading.

NBA owners can’t contribute to NIL.
