Think Buzz won’t leave Tech. He is getting ranked and getting some improvements

He can run his system, while recruiting kids who fit it, but when you get to a p5, they expect better talent to be recruited, and a lot of kids dont want to play end to end defense, sacrifice stats, and get subbed in for a fresh 5.
You need 10 guys who dont mind playing 18-22 minutes, and will play end to end defense, and team ball.

Smart fricked up by not taking the Illinois job. Would have been a gold mine for him. He and his system would have connected with the Chicago kids. Huge mistake.

Shaka’s tenure made me realize how hard it is to be successful with one and done guys when they’re big men.
Shaka will have had 3 top 20 picks after this season who spent 1 year at Texas but we’re all that great in their time in Austin because of how undeveloped those guys were. Senior leadership for Texas also has sucked recently.
