There was no side piece. Some dumbasses on Twitter possibly ruined this girls professional life though.

Stewart Mandel

week ago, Auburn's president told the board they were "trying to separate fact from fiction" re: Harsin rumors.

Today's news suggests they never found a smoking gun, which means someone (boosters) orchestrated a smear campaign against him b/c they wanted him fired.

Shameful.

Knowing auburn, they’ll somehow wander into the title game next season.

1. Coach out of his league
2. Backs against the wall

Still looking for the 3rd component, though:

3. One, and only one, freak of nature athlete to compliment and elevate a team of rejects from other SEC schools

Yeah, this means we have no option that is better at this point. Dude is dead man walking, Auburn will have their ducks in a row and this dude will be gone at the end of 2022.

If they fired him now, the search would look worse than UT when they settled on Germy.

What sucks for them is this 2023 instate recruiting is easily the best one in years. Several 5 star and high 4 star players that Auburn typically would’ve landed at least a few of.

What a chicken shite thing to undercut your first year coach.

Almost as chicken shite as having an affair in the first place?! Not to mention he is the head coach of Auburn.

Let me summarize:

First he refused (and still does) to state his vaccination status, then he had a bad season, then the Auburniest legacy player they've had in decades (literally named after Bo Jackson) transferred, then the DC (one of the most respected coordinators in recent SEC history) quit, then the OC quit, then they finished tenth in SEC recruiting, the they finished -14 in portal moves so far, including eight D-linemen, then there were sex stuff rumors, then he fled to Mexico and won't answer his phone, and he's still there.

Not firing him is the Auburniest thing ever!

What does this have to do with anything?

If you have to announce that you are keeping your coach, the damage is already done and you shouldn't keep your coach

Yep, both sides will now probably spend the next several months planning an exit strategy for the inevitable end. The timing was not good for a change, for both parties, that's why one wasn't made.

Joe Alleva at the end of LSU's 2015 football season. "Les is our coach and he will continue to be our coach!" 4 games into the next season: "See ya!"

The Harsin hire never seemed to make sense but to me that’s now beside the point. Real issue is the completely passive response of the administration, which is supposed to be in charge of this whole thing. Affair rumor starts, and they do nothing for a week as media reports that seemed to be coordinated threw anything and everything they could find at the wall. Racism, skipping golf outings, mistreating players, etc. If I were Harsin I’d be trying to succeed purely out of spite.

Also, would’ve been pretty rich if Auburn had fired Harsin with cause for sexual impropriety and then hired Hugh Freeze.
