Then I assume that all star team has to beat the other all stars in the state. Then goes to the regional?

Are there a lot of “little leagues” in Louisiana. When I was growing up Dixie Youth was common in north Louisiana.

very little dixie anymore after the state office had a bunch of issues. Lots more little league the last 10 years.

but most of the good kids dont play LL. AP, Eastbank and this year Lafayette got a lot of the travel kids out, but certainly not the best 2031 kids in the state. In fact i would say none of the top 15-20 players in the state play, maybe more than that prolly closer to none of the top 30 or 40 kids

Can someone explain the bracket to me? Why did Texas East start in the winner bracket round 2?

That sucks.

I played for Harahan growing up and we were consistently good. As was Little Farms, Miley, Girard, Pontiff. Usually at least one of Delta//Bright/Cleary were good too. There were always 5-7 good-very good teams.

After Katrina, you started to see the shift. Harahan/Little Farms, Clearly/Delta, Bright/someone had to combine for the Babe Ruth team. To be clear, these teams were still filled with soon to be high school baseball players playing in the catholic league. It wasn't like all the good kids left. Like my Harahan/Little Farms team had (i'm guesssing) 14 kids, and at least 10 played high level high school baseball, with a couple playing in college.

You used to be able to do both (park and travel ball) and it genuinely wasn't overdoing it. Now, it's full go travel ball from September until August. I know a guy who runs an org out of state and his 9U team played something like 90 games over the course of their season. That's criminal.

Those kids are 11-12 years old. It’s time to start pitching from 50 feet instead of 46. They also should be taking leads. Move those bases back 10 feet to 70 feet. Watch Little League is like watching softball.
This is what kids playing USSSA ball have been doing for 2 decades. That's why no one takes LL seriously.

The same kids you see on TV have been playing open 50/70 baseball most of the summer until the camera crews show up.

100% but I am far from the only one. I noticed how big of a tool he was when I was 11, and I made his team and started. That was 20 years ago

My 11u player was at a tournament in Zachary this year where the other teams coach almost physically attacked our first base coach accusing him of stealing signs.

The coach had shouted look for the changeup. There was no sign stealing, As our coach correctly pointed out they other coach had called the same pitch on that pitch count the entire game.

If Oklahoma and Texas use up some pitching today, Louisiana should be positioned really well to win the region. Louisiana has most of their pitching ready to go for tomorrow.

Agreed! Some solid players are playing in both the East Bank and Ascension leagues.

A couple of those East Bank 11 year old can really play!

Ascension had a couple really good 12u kids make the all-star team. The rest were just your average travel
ball kids.

Is the game Tuesday winner take all or does La need to be beaten 2x?

I'm not sure. LA is the only team left undefeated, so it would be a shame if it were winner take all.

Championship games are always winner take all and not double elimination

Stupid and according to the site Louisiana not even the home team. Doesn’t seem like much of an advantage to be undefeated. Yes one less game but in this bracket Texas got a bye and has played same number of games as Louisiana

They are little kids, not like their breaking ball at 12 years old is going to be anything other than a slow fastball anyways

Louisiana will win. No Texas or Oklahoma team can beat Louisiana team in football or baseball. Whether OU, TAMU, UT, Tech all seem to have losing record at least as of recent vs LSU in football.

This kid pitching for California is throwing some nasty stuff for a Little League pitcher. 76 pitches and just dealing.
