I disagree but I’m a little biased - played in the ‘05 LLWS hah. I always look forward to watching each summer. I think everyone can agree how cool to see the MLB players hanging out at the games and talking to the players. Such a great idea by the MLB. Also - would much rather watch LLWS rather than ESPN Ocho sports.

They should give American Legion more coverage. These kids are about to go play college ball and some will get drafted

i'm not a fan, but i watched the Hawaii new york game at the bar tonight and it was more interesting than anything going on on any of the other TVs in there.
plus i know a couple people that enjoy it. i'd rather they keep it going. they would fill those time slots with more Stephen A/Hot Take/SC@6 type shows if it wasnt on

I would much rather them televise Cape Cod League games.

Agreed. They have real baseball going on.

One of the coolest moments my dad and I have witnessed watching games together came about in this year's little league world series.
A guy was stealing 2nd off a mishandled ball or something and they threw down to second and the fielder applied a tag in a very close play.. the runner was ruled safe.. the umps started to challenge the call because it was close and the defender immediately started expressing the runner was safe and not to even challenge the play. It was a really cool honest gesture to see.
There have also been some really impressive defensive plays throughout the series. Not everything is some weird perverted thing.. and it's not like this is some underage beauty contest. It's just baseball, in its purest form. If you find it weird, perhaps you have an issue. There have been some pretty impressive comeback games as well. And the best part is, it's typically only 6 innings (aside from the extra inning games) with hardly any commercial break.. so they tend to go quickly.. which is always nice to see a baseball game move quickly.

Because it's the end of the summer and they are competing in the LLWS.. They will be in school soon enough.
The LLWS is only like 2-3 weeks in the month of August, where there is no NBA and no NFL or college football and it's not even playoff MLB baseball.. It's a welcomed bridge to the football season for me, especially considering how long and dull MLB regular season baseball is. MLB post-season is fun. I believe they are LLWS is about to be down to just one game a day, and the entire thing will be over this weekend??
The only other live events I really see going on are women's basketball, women's soccer, some golf and some tennis. It's really limited stuff.. aside from the usual MLB games, but if you are that into MLB baseball you have other alternatives to watch.. I guess ESPN could show more re-airs of Rolling with the Tide to please some of you?

LLWS haters are the worst
It’s a fun event, get over it

I enjoy it. I don't get weirdly into it or anything, but it's an enjoyable watch for me.
I have some friends who despise it, but it's kids playing a sport I generally like. And for the most part, they aren't tainted and it's sort of "pure baseball," if that makes sense. Sportsmanship is usually up to par, and it's kids having fun and living their dreams. Plus, I played LL baseball and remember how much fun it was.
Add in the whole mixing of MLB players with the kid players, which the MLB started last year, and it's really cool to see IMO.
I get people not being into it, but I've never understood the hate for the most part. Plus, it's better than the talking head bullshite shows that ESPN would otherwise blast all day.
Although I do agree with whoever it was that said they should play more women's pool. I used to love that shite.

Just curious, is there any Baton Rouge Little League teams? Or is it all just USSSA trash around here?

I watched a good bit of the Legion World Series this year on ESPNU, ESPN3. Some really good games this year.

I enjoy watching it but it has gotten to be like the sports version of Shark Week. More hype around promoting it and social media post talking about it then there is the actual game.

Over two games at the double-elimination tournament, Georgia played 17 innings against Hawaii but was held scoreless.
Damn.
Hawaii threw the same pitcher at them twice; that usually doesn't work.
Hopefully Hawaii didn't sacrifice their best pitcher for this game.
Because South Korea looks like they are all 16 years-old.
