Top rated C Frank Ragnow has decided to retire. This will set Detroit's stellar OL back a notch or few.

Kind of selfish to do it after free agency and the draft so it’s too late to find a suitable replacement.

Nevemind, they drafted one, I’m stupid.

Center is at least a hell of a lot easier to fill than tackle

Holy shite. This is actuaully devastating for Detroit. Best interior OL in football and in his prime.

These early retirements might become more commonplace with athletes making bank in college if they're financially savvy.

Why. He paid his dues, played great, made his money, and wants to able to walk upright when he is in his 50’s. I don’t blame him one bit.

Apparently has degenerative toe issues. Tried to go one more time but couldn’t. Sounds familiar. Ramczyk from the same draft, 2 perennial all pro players both retiring early with degenerative issues.
