You mean the same Curtis team that couldn't beat St. Aug? Jesuit and Catholic can certainly play with and beat them this year.

As Double D said, Curtis always kicks it in another gear come playoff time.

Of course, not arguing that. So will the other coaching staffs though. But they are quite beatable this year.

Oh, I never said they weren't.

They actually do look mortal this year as compared to past seasons.

Jays knew what the Crusaders were going to throw at them, they've seen nine weeks of it on film. Bonis' only offensive adjustment in the game plan was to run Broggi more than usual. I was worried he was going to get hurt, to be honest.

That's Jesuit's secret is executing what they know to be coming. Doesn't help that B.M. is a touch undisciplined...they MUST get at least one personal foul per game....and Jesuit gets huge benefits of the doubts with officials who just KNOW that Jesuit is more disciplined than anyone else-even when they aren't.

The St. Aug game came at the end of a 5 game stretch with 3 away games which included a game 5 hours away against a Texas school. They were worn down. Curtis will only play 3 games in a row at most during the playoffs and will have home field advantage for at least the first game. No one thought this team was going to be as good as the past few years. There was too much youth and inexperience. Sitting at 7-1 is pretty good for who they have played. Even St. Charles and De La Salle were good by 3A standards. Curtis doesn't look ready yet to beat Rummel, but anyone who thinks they will be defined in the playoffs by the St. Aug game is silly.

They also struggled with Mandy, who Catholic beat by 40+. Curtis isnt that scary or great this year.

Rummel or Jesuit will beat them- whoever gets them first.

Brother Martin and Catholic could also- but it would be very close.

Dont know why you separate Catholic from Rummel Jesuit. CHS is on par with those two this year

Yeah, Catholic and Rummel went toe to toe in that first meeting.

Only because I have not seen them play this year.

I know they are 8-1 and have been solid this year- would like to see how they would handle Curtis in the playoffs.

I think you underestimate the toll injuries and suspensions took on Curtis before the week off. Additionally, they will have 15 days between their game against McMain and the first playoff game.

Was a great game. D1 is really going to be an interesting playoffs this year, despite the fact of how small it is

I did already. There were a lot of seniors to replace, so there was a lot of youth and inexperience. Curtis also lost 3-4 starters at the last minute (August) to transferring, including two offensive line starters. The beginning of the season was very rough for the lines. There was also a DL starter who was hurt in the spring and is just now returning to the lineup.

You guys are grossly underestimating Curtis and how they coach and handle regular season games....

If you think catholic is significantly better because they beat mandeville worse....

You have never been around JT....

Jesuit is most likely to beat rummel if they play again.....
