I don't pay that close attention to HS football outside of my kid's school (Lafayette Christian) and my old high school (Acadiana High) plus the districts they play in. Maybe a little bit regarding other local schools in the Acadiana area.

So imagine my surprise when I saw the Rondell Mealey's son (also Rondell) plays football at Lutcher High. It doesn't look like he is highly recruited, can any of you Lutcher boys give us a run down on his capabilities? Is he overlooked, under utilized or just an average player? Honestly have no idea.

His numbers do not look bad just looks under utilized to me but I haven't seen him or Lutcher play. Wondering if he might be a steal for someone or just an average player with a name that generates interest.

Thanks in advance.

Neville vs West Monroe should be a good one. Can the much smaller school pull the upset vs the university of West Monroe?

I don’t see it happening. WM’s run defense is fantastic and that’s all Neville has been doing during their recent success. Neville will have to score multiple times on special teams to win. Judging from the jamboree, they might be able to do that. They had ridiculous field position the entire game due to former WM player Max Hunter’s great job on returns, both kick and punt. They still didn’t score until late on a long pass to Hunter on 4th down. I guess they could take advantage of the field position this time around and put up some points. We shall see.

Keilon Brown will have to have the game od his life to win--throwing and running.

Otherwise University will feast.

Shreve should be ranked after taking down C.... E.... NERD tonight. Was really hoping that both teams would have been undefeated going into tonight's matchup, but Byrd got slaughtered by Haughton last week. Gonna find out how good Haughton is after Fridays game vs Evangel as well.
