Ah, the good ole Bayou Ref's; been terrible since the 60's at least.

Karr 41 Hahnville 13. Karr looked really good, Hahnville's O-line is terrible.

STM turnover on downs

Centrals ball with a minute left

2 teams that appear down in my view. STM has no ground game. The QB 14 is good and #7 is the best player on that team. The Cougars defense is as bad as I've seen and Im not trying to be negative here.

Central did what they had to on the ground. A couple plays by the QB helped keep it close, but #2 is an excellent back. I just dont think Central is that strong of a 5A team this year. Congrats on the 2-0 start.

Ahh you're right not sure why and if they had earned all those flags I wouldn't have said anything. They do have a rep.

Central's D held on at the end.

Yep, i thought we were done the way they were driving. It helps that they decided to throw a fade on 4th down from the 10 but ill take it

Way tii many missed tackles tonight though, seemed like STM eeked its way to a first down due to poor angles abd tackling. Thatll get fixed so it should be a good year

Broke the Week 2 curse

Meh we started off looking like shite last year an pulled together to win the district and i think were a better team this year on defense and on the oline

At worst were the same team as last year which had a pretty good run (knocked off the 1 seed in the playoffs). I think they can host a first round game this year

Live Oak has a new coach every year lol. :(

But yea, Tut Muscemeche (sp). In reality, Live Oak played Livonia by a mile last week, just failed to capitalize.

This was just an asswhipping.

Maybe Central just wasn't sharp. They are scrappy though and you can never tell how much heart a team has, but I stand by my comments. That is not a strong STM team by their standards. Anytime a school can beat STM it must feel good though. Again congrats

Anytime you lose to Live Oak 48 - 0, you need to just shut down your football program.

Final: Jeryl Brazil 26 U-High 21. That kid is the real deal. Two 60+ yard TD runs straight up the pipe, and a miraculous escape from the rush to complete a long pass on a 4th and 23 that kept their winning drive alive. They scored the winning TD with about 2 minutes left. Very physical slugfest. Our scouting was good-both he and Toefield did almost all their damage between the tackles, rarely venturing outside. And once he got past the LOS, no one on our team was going to catch him. Nick got a lot of yards, but they were hard-earned. And we had a lot of passes that were barely missed that would have been long gains. Playoff atmosphere and a heck of a game-lots of kids on both sides went down, a testimony to how hard they were playing.
