So the high ranked teams are hosting? Not the way it’s written left to right

sometimes in the quarterfinals the lower ranked teams host because they've traveled more

Hopefully Arch gets his first taste of having his season wrecked by a team from LSU's campus.

(7) Edna Karr @ (2) Catholic-BR

Probably the State Championship due to Karr's forfeits.

Upvote for this.

Saw him against Hahnville and wasn’t impressed. I will say, though, Hahnville didn’t do much to make him do things to impress me either.

Or in the case of DII AND DIII nonselect, EVERY SINGLE HIGHER SEED IS ON THE ROAD.

So fricking stupid.

And to the guy who accused of cherry picking the one outlier last week, that’s EVERY TEAM IN TWO BRACKETS.

Did Ruston drop in rankings? Thought they were #1? Obviously all this is confusing to me, with select and non-select.

The playoff match-ups listed at the top of the OP are the power rankings/seeding for the playoffs. The other list is a ranking/poll from MaxPreps or some other site like that.

Ruston is the #1 seed in the DI Non-select playoffs but they aren’t “ranked” #1 by his particular source.

do you ever not complain and whine, the only team with a gripe is Northwood, because BM played both of their playoff games in their home stadium.

It ain't like home field advantage is a big deal in HS. Road trips are more fun than playing at home. Heck I never lost a road playoff game.

last year home teams won 20 and lost 16 Q final games.

I watched Catholic v UHigh earlier this year. The CHS QB and WR had their way easy in the passing game v UHigh. Don’t know who Newman has catching the ball, but I would think Arch is a complete next level from the CHS QB.

I think difference in this game is UHIgh will just line up and pound the ball with the K Moses kid running the ball. He is a beast

I think the games North Vermillion played against STM, LCA, Tuerlings and Westgate must have helped them in the playoffs.
Hopefully they can pull an upset against the 2 seed at home.

Yes. Last year WF was 5-5 going into the playoffs with loses to Zachary, U High and Madison Prep. WF was a 17 seed but was way better than that seed. WF came close to getting into the semi finals. Haven’t seen NV play but I get the same vibes from that schedule. I’ll be down there tomorrow. Just hoping the NV fans act more decent than Erath and that the rain holds off.

Nah, you have to give credit to their own talent/depth and their own play… a lot of teams play a murderers row and don’t win shite in the playoffs
