Had a friend at the game and he said WM was putting the onus on the refs the entire first half to call a certain game. First was a chop block late first quarter. Then the holding on the receivers all night to get pressure on Holstein.
I'm still wondering why WM ran a punt block up 21-0 and just stopped Zachary in second quarter. Take risks you can get burned. There is no uncatchable ball in high school football. Most dont know that I think. 4th and 6 receiver was mugged with a ball thrown to him. Easy call I was told. Questionable coaching calls by WM and the refs burned them for not changing their style up late.

Once you play a game that involves the requirement of depending on high school officials you're just asking for a bad time.
Seems like they got away with some stuff in the first half that Zachary was able to bring to the officials in a professional manner and WM never adjusted to the change while blowing their top the entire time.

That pretty much sums it up.
I'm a desty fan and decided to watch them against Ruston.
Confident Destrehan will win on the road next week. Wished we had WM at home as we match up extremely well. Still like our chances. Defense is nasty.

My lil ole St Fred warriors turned the ball over too many times to compete against Southern Lab tonight they had them 7-0 going into half then imploded with turnovers and mistakes.

I really dont care either way. Wish yall had won. Rather played WM at home in Destrehan. Just what I was told. Said it was a PI and not hold call, and was right call. Said WM was doing it all night long taking chances and never switched up once Brewerton ripped the refs in the second quarter and they started calling it tighter.
Tell your coaches to stop doing the same thing expecting a different result. Everyone will see things their own way.

Brewster loved the fact that the refs “let them play” after the infamous no call in the dome 3 years ago. Didn’t really like letting them play tonight, I guess.
I know everyone is going to consider us sore losers. And I really don’t care much. But unless you were there and witnessed it in person, you’d never believe it. I’ve talked to plenty of people involved in football for a long time that had no skin in the game. They were there just to watch a good game. And all came away with the same thought. Never seen anything as egregious as tonight. Except for your friend, I guess, since he thought it was called evenly.

Wait, what? Yall bitched when we beat yall in 2008 too. Why no one likes WM and lost respect. Cant lose with class.
Your staff chose to play a risky defense and got burnt. I'm sure no one in Zachary thought it was bad. Your staff lost their damn cool down at the 28 with 2:13 seconds left. Stupid. Cost you. Then the team lost their compose and fumbled at the 50?

Also, feel free to go see highlights on one of baton rouge TV sports highlights. Some WM fan on here was bitching about the touchdown where the RB crossed the plane. They show right there clear as day he crossed the goalline and the ball came out after he crossed and then the ground caused the "fumble". It is indisputable. Kudos to ref for seeing it. He got it right. Wouldn't know it here unless someone called you out.

Nope. Stayed home and saw ruston score their lowest total of the season. Next week we will do what yall couldn't. Win or lose wont be any whining about refs. Especially if we get a 3 touchdown lead early and fail to score one more touchdown to seal it for 3 quarters. That ain't us. I'd be embarrassed.

The TD was a TD. Someone may have complained about it but it was a TD. Could your friend explain how our QB had his helmet ripped off yet we were called for an unsportsmanlike penalty as we were about to ice the game?
Or could your friend explain why when on Zachary’s last play, the play clock ran down to 2 as they were struggling to get their play off, then mysteriously restarted at 40, then immediately went down to 25?
Please have him explain this so that I don’t feel so bad.
Did your highlights show the such an obvious PI that kept them alive? Or the punt that was tipped and then at least 15 seconds went by before the ref threw a flag for roughing the punter?
I’m really looking for answers. And if your only answer is that we should have scored more, then you’re part of the problem.
