Looks like a couple bailout calls, which I hate. The last one with the stretch in the end zone is bad but with no replay it almost impossible for a high school official to make the correct call all the time on those.
actually 2 officials are camped out on goal line, they have a clear view down the line.

100% was not a fumble. That is clear as day
I agree, but he was also a yard short when his knee hit. I’ve seen the sideline view.

West Monroe never loses its always the refs fault.
Zachary state championship game in 2018, baseball state championship against Barbe this past season, and now Zachary in the quarterfinals this season. It’s a pretty true statement about WM fans

Been following this officials bitch-fest in this thread. Thanks for the links, but all of those angles are absolute garbage in helping to see if the calls were as bad as they were made out to be in the thread.
ETA: The first link was good for showing a couple of the penalties/no-calls.

Was that supposed to be convincing that wm got cheated? All legit penalties when you have corners never disengage for 15 yards.

Yeah and so do college and NFL refs and they get it wrong too. In real time being able to tell if ball crossed plane before knee went down is impossible. Let alone it being a high school official.
I’m not disagreeing with the other calls being bs. The goal line one though is tough

I’m just pointing out the examples of WM fans claiming that they were cheated by the officials. Been a common theme for them the last few years to always blame their losses on the officials.

Neville has the best oline in the state with an elite rb and an elite defense. Also tough to beat them at home. Going to be a great game. Place will be packed as West Monroe, Ouachita, and Ruston all getting ready for basketball season.

The one on WM’s sideline threw his bag. The one on Zachary’s sideline came in and signaled touchdown. They were both wrong.
I think Zachary scores the next play with Holstein honestly, but he wasn’t in on this play and he didn’t fumble. He’s on the 2+ when his knee hits. Unless from his knee to his outstretched arm is 6+ feet long…

Yeah I just meant the compilation by the clearly unbiased Monroe reporter.

West Monroe had plenty of chances. Nobody talking about 2nd and goal from the 5 in 2nd OT. They then went backwards on a run and sack. That’s not on the refs.

Aldridge trying to keep his job lol

Nobody talking about west monroe fumble before end of regulation to give Zachary the ball at midfield. Don’t fumble there and punt and Zachary has a long field with about 1 minute left. Their playing calling shifted to control the clock and “not to lose” vs the aggressive “nothing to lose” attitude they started with. Zachary made adjustment to finally cover the tight end when WM tried to go back to it late.
As the saying goes, control the controllables. WM had ample opportunities to put this game out of reach and didn’t do it. Need to quit blaming others and have a little bit of personal accountability. Put the game away when you had a chance and refs aren’t a factor. Arledge’s post game comments are not reflective of great leadership. Losing hurts and anyone that plays at the level of intensity that both of those teams played with will be emotional. But it is a shame that the grown adults (Arledge) can’t take any ownership. (Play on words from his postgame comments) Refs didn’t coach the kids, refs didn’t fumble the ball, refs don’t call the plays, but yet the refs are to blame. I wonder if he coaches the kids to blame others? I wonder if they have to be disciplined and do their job or just blame someone else when they don’t?
Simply, WM had pportunities and didn’t put the game away.
