No the lhsaa is meeting this week.
They’re meeting tomorrow and while this topic might be brought up it’s not the reason they’re meeting. OP title is misleading

So the baseball players who just had their hearts ripped out in March need to turn around and start up in September only to have their season stopped again a few weeks later when people overreact to people getting sick in schools due to human manipulation of the sports schedules?
Keep it as scheduled as is and let the chips fall where they may.

If schools going to be go live then there is no reason not to have football

I'm still skeptical of them opening schools fully. JBE is talking about 6 ft distance in classrooms and buses. You'd only be able to fit like 12 kids in each class.

Idiotic considering JBE just said he wants K-12 in the classroom in August. If you can go to school, you can play ball. If you swap, those kids that are early enrollees aren't sticking around. You will lose your elite players because they will already be graduated and in college.

Edit your title. This is one person’s opinion. Read the title of the news article again.

Correct if school starts you have football in the fall with crowds. If you scared of crowds stay the fuk home. Wal Mart has crowds and that hasnt stopped anyone from going shopping has it? Get back to nornmal and fuk wat JBE wants to do. Enough is enough.

We are talking about a virus that has a global fatality rate of 0.1% or a recovery rate of 99.9%.
Doesn't change the fact that it's highly contagious and a lot of people are getting it.
No one is saying these players are going to die if they get it, but just like with other diseases, you can't play if you get them.

How many December signees would skip and the season and/or enroll early?
How many would walk away in the middle of the season after they sign in February?

With other diseases, you dont get tested if you are feeling perfectly healthy and not sick.
These players are feeling perfectly fine and getting held out of play because they are doing tests throughout the week

The idea is not that bad.
Until Baseball, Softball, Track, Tennis, and Golf all get cancelled for the second year in a row.
It’s a terrible idea.
Not to mention is will negatively effect Senior FB players that are borderline college players.

Executive director Eddie Bonine made two points clear after Wednesday’s summer meeting.
First, the LHSAA is not going to entertain flipping its spring and fall sports season, pushing its marquee sport — football — to the spring.
And second — in order to have fall high school sports, athletes at member schools must take a page from a new LSU promotion and “Defend the Spread” as in spread of the novel coronavirus.
“Moving football and the other fall sports to the spring doesn’t make sense for us,” Bonine said. “We’ve heard from baseball coaches and they don’t want it. And if we want to have high school sports in the fall the most important thing we can do is following the state’s Phase 2 or even Phase 1 guidelines to present the spread of COVID-19.
“The next month is very important for us because we need to move into reopening Phase 3 and contact sports in order for us to start on time. That means staying home, wearing a mask, using hand-sanitizer and not putting yourself in a situation where you can get infected and/or spread it.”

Uh huh... and what does that do for sports which already had to dance in the spring?
Athletes DO participate in multiple sports but good luck having someone do football, track, AND baseball at the same time.
