It’s amazing how Archbishop Hannan relocated from the parish to the northshore.

They weren’t really going to make it down here… and that West St Tammany area needed a Catholic school

Avoyelles Charter has a very good shot at winning it all again this year in class B.

St. Michael is well coached. Plays good defense. Puts a lot of pressure on teams too.

They are also a veteran team

Was a rough night.

Scheduling should be interesting surrounding Mardi Gras

Are we any closer to getting rid of this Select/Non Select garbage? Or still rocking 10 different state champions and playoff byes every year?

I have been trying to figure out why Ponchatoula is on the select side this year. I guess they ask so many public schools to go play with the privates to even things up? Seems stupid to me. My Boys have back to back non-select state championships and are seeded 6th this year. Would be nice to win this side also, but they are not as strong this year as they have been.

Not really, it would have been more amazing if they had stayed down there. After Katrina the amount of people that moved to the northshore is crazy. Just here in Ponchatoula there is a subdivision west of the city that is 99% ppl from the parish.

I think all of Tangipahoa schools were classified as select because of the magnet program they have in the parish.

They didn’t have a bye? WM beat HL Bourgeois 89-49. 1 seed Zachary awaits Tuesday.

ETA: Ruston beat Destrehan 56-22

Tangipahoa Parish has open enrollment to some degree...you can go to schools outside your zone for numerous reasons not just for magnet programs

Ruston leads South Lafourche 43-21 at half. My HS is trying, but it's a mismatch.

They are a 6 seed but have the athletes to beat anyone if they play well.
