You still have to wonder who thought that was a good idea

St. Petersburg was stopping them from getting out of the lease. They've been having more talks recently about scouting different locations, but who knows how soon anything will happen.

I wouldn't mind Montreal getting a team again. I don't know what other US market could realistically support a team outside of maybe Charlotte. I just hope if they move it's on the eastern seaboard so they aren't shuffling divisions around again.

Personally I would like to see them work in Florida. The state should have two pro baseball teams IMO.

Gonna suck for Gwinnett residents that have to hit up I-285 during rush hour which is pretty much as bad as the Downtown Connector to the Ted.

Who cares ...Braves fans suck and aside from the early 90's they have been shite.. Atlanta is a shite city........ I hope the Braves and all other teams relocate or have losing seasons every year in every sport... The Hawks have one of the best records in basketball and can't draw shite............

CWS---------Ghettos. Projects errywhere. What a terrible location. Working professionals and families aren't gonna go to a game in the fricking ghetto so far from home and work. Literally nothing in the south side. Not even some decent bars/restaurants around the area. I think a lakeside move closer to the skyline like Grant Park would do wonders for their attendance.

I wouldn't be able to stand for that shithole organization to move one foot closer to Wrigley. Move the team to another city and burn that stadium and their offices to the ground, then cement over it to encapsulate the residue.

I've always thought Norfolk/Virginia Beach could support either a MLB, NFL or NBA team ever since I lived there. It's a much bigger metro area than people realize, and it's also 60 miles from Richmond (although I-64 traffic makes that trip a nightmare). There is a lot of land off of the Chesapeake Expressway that could eventually be a stadium home, or the Norfolk Tides AAA stadium could be used for baseball. There is a strong military presence in the area and there is a lot of money in the area, meaning the population isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The only problem with this is the proximity to DC, but Baltimore is closer and it supports two teams just fine.

Atlantas attendence isn't awful. They just play in a stadium way too big so it looks that way

Should've taken out an additional 5,000 seats during the post-Olympics conversion.

Baltimore is much closer, but I get the skepticism.

The Royals are locked into a long term stadium deal after they renovated the K and the run to the WS last year has KC interested in baseball again.

This season will determine a lot as to if the momentum continues, but the Royals added payroll this offseason and are certainly safe for now.

Too bad for them. It belongs in the cradle of baseball, aka Cobb County.

Cleveland-----What's the deal? THey used to be among the best in attendance? The team has had decent success recently and a few good players come through. Would a move to Columbus or Indianapolis be better? Cleveland supports their other teams. Or will winning help? They've won and still drawn shitty crowds.

This is on the Dolan's. Cleveland fans hate them because they're cheap and try to bring in retreads to patch holes in the lineup. Everyone knows that they've needed a right handed power hitting 3rd baseman or corner outfielder for the past 4 years but yet they don't spend to get one.

They'll get out of it by 2020 IMO.

If they Rays leave, I won't cry, but I'm part of the problem. Being a family of carpetbaggers and all. Of course, the Rays weren't even a team when we got here.

They need to put the fricking stadium in channelside! They can work with the Lightning/whoever owns the Ice Palace now and build a garage right across from were the current one is right outside the Forum. Then build an awesome plaza connecting the two stadiums. right here:

NYM----------winning will fix this too, though they kind of have the same issue as the CWS building in a bad area.

WTF are you talking about? NYC Crime Map

Flushing where the NYM play is relatively safe by NY Standards.

The attendance issue that the NYM have is that work for upper middle class folk that can afford to go regularly ends between 6:30 - 7:30 and the game starts at f'ing 7:05. They have a great way to get to the ballpark via subway, but even if you could afford to go to 1/4, 1/2 or all the games you couldn't get there because your arse would be in the office.

.....and they suck.

San Antonio. 7th largest city in the country and only has one pro team. Put it on the north side and make it easy to get to from Austin.
