He seems really really dumb to me. Too stupid to be a good QB.

That being said, O'brien and the coaching staff ROYALLY messed up the QB situation. There was no reason for it to be this bad, but they set it up. They bear responsibility in this as well. Additionally, they should have had a coach talking to Mallet as soon as he was taken out of the game.
It's like Houston has been taking lessons from 2014 Vandy on QB's.
"Hey, Hoyer, you get the job, and it's not a short leash. Get the frick out Hoyer, Ryan, you're in. shite, get out Ryan, get back in Hoyer."
What message does that send to a team?

Yes. They need to start Hoyer and just stick with him at this point.

Obrien is a less fat version of Charlie Weis who says the F word a lot more/better.

Do Texans fans like Obrien?
How can they be this shitty? That division is RIPE for the taking and they lose to the Colts at home? To Hasselbeck?
They should have signed Charles James. Season doomed.

Christian Hackenberg is terrible because he gets sacked on roughly 35% of his drop-backs. I'd venture to say he gets knocked down on roughly 50% of his drop-backs and pressured on 65%.
Penn State's offensive line is trash and nobody could succeed there.

He's probably dumb as hell in real life, but he was consistently billed by coaches, analysts, and even GRUDEN as one of the smartest QBs they had seen when it comes to the game. His problem (and always has been) is his ego. He always thought he could make ANY throw and it would work, because he's THAT good. This led to all his interceptions at important times, some of them head-scratching to say the least. He's not the type to create a big scene in the locker room or anything, more like the get pissed and keep it to yourself, adversely affecting your performance and making you look like a hothead type.
Believe it or not, he's actually put a lot of work into improving his touch on short passes and has improved when compared to his first years in the league or college. I remember the Razorback RBs saying that the palms of their gloves would rip after catching 1 or more passes from him in the flats. He's got a cannon for an arm, he's just never been able to completely tame it. It doesn't help that he's so awkward, tall, and slow and can't escape a pass rush to save his life.
O'brien did screw him by promising him the starting job in the offseason so he wouldn't look for another team, only to promote Hoyer for the first game. Mallett's performance in the preseason and camp had been better than Hoyer up to that point, but I think BOB was more so trying to push Mallett to be better than anything. Mallett, being the egotistical arse that he is, saw it as O'brien reneging on his promise and took it personally, thus getting in his head and ruining his game.

Link?
I've never heard that a single time. In fact, I've heard the opposite.
Here in Houston, it was always thought Hoyer would win the "competition".

If he wouldnt be rich and famous, he'd be the type to wear an oversized white t-shirt with white sneakers and a gigantic gold chain.
