CP3 is on a track to be a lock, just on stats with his assists and steals. If KD wins a championship, he's a no question lock
KD isn't on track with his stats and MVP? But CP is?
KD will have been a top 2 player on the NBA for a long time, but has to win a ship?

Vince Carter and TMac are in
Amare is out
Ben Wallace is out
The rest are too close to call it IMO

That slam dunk competition tho.. Maybe he would be better suited for the Globetrotter hof.

you don't go to the HOF from Winning dunk contests. Look at all NBA awards, DPOYS, all defensive teams, all star game. Etc.

Not a HOF resume. Next.

Bref calls him a lock bro. You're a scrub. 'NEXT!'

Do you think Ben Wallace is a HOF lock?

this was written in '09, so three MVPs since then, Lebron, Durant, and now Curry (especially with a ring in two weeks) can be considered locks
remember Rose and Curry have college careers to add to their resumes, as will Anthony Davis in a few years when we start to debate his HOF case

Top 5 defensive center of all time
Best center in the league for a 5 year(conservative)period. Find me another player who was the best at his position for at least 5 years who isn't in the hall of fame.
He is not a top 5 defensive center of all time.
How is Dwight Howards career different than Ben Wallace then?
At least Ben has a championship
Name a dominant center that doesn't have a championship?
Ewing, and he lost it to Olajawon, who probably wouldn't have one either had MJ not gone play baseball.
Every dominant center brought more than defense to the court. Deandre Jordan is pretty much the same exact player Dwight used to be. I guess he's a lock for the Hall of Fame too.

tracy mcgrady
If you were ever the best player in the league for an extended period of time you should get in. He was special.

Russell
Olajuwon
Mutombo
Wallace
Howard
Top 5 IMO.
Again find me 1 player who was the best at his position for over 5 years who isn't a HOFer or a lock. THere's a reason why the website has him where he is.
5× All-NBA First Team (2008–2012)
3× NBA Defensive Player of the Year (2009–2011)
4× NBA All-Defensive First Team (2009–2012)
NBA All-Defensive Second Team (2008)
That 5 year run is just unreal.

Howard averaged more points as a rookie(his career low) than Jordan did in his best season.

How about zbo, curious what people think where he goes

quote:funny how mr "never even been to the conference finals after a 10 year career" is all good getting in on stats alone, while a 3 consecutive time defensive player of the year who's lead his team to the finals and has been the best player at his position for 7 years is some scrub. Never underestimate perception and likability

You need a new argument.. but that might be the last one you've got.

Pretty good list but I think Tony Parker is a lock. Manu will probably be in as well.
