that's simply not true. just look at what people were saying about them last year
plus, they acquired the best player in CFB. the Cam Newton Rule states that if you acquire the best player in CFB, you can win a lot of games in the SEC

A&M won 1 fricking game people thought they'd lose.
Perhaps people thought they'd lose to AU and Arkie, but no one saw how epically bad those two would be. They were a combined 2-14?

The crowd that wants to temper SEC fans bragging are saying that TAMU went 6-6 last year in a conference not called the SEC and are in the SEC now and have won more games, therefore the SEC has been exposed.
It's kind of an oversimplistic view of the situation.

in 2010 Bama finished 4th in the SEC, you guys are trying to have it both ways. On the one had we say this team could not compete playing an SEC schedule. I will admit I thought Manziel would suck, because of his off the field issues I thought he wouldn't have the right head on his shoulders to be able to lead a team. I was wrong.
However hold the breaks on the fact that A&M would go 12-0 in the Big 12. They almost lost in a shootout to Louisiana Tech. With all the offensive minded teams in the Big 12, it is not a stretch to believe that there would be a team or two in the Big 12 that would beat A&M in a shootout.

Sorry Slow, you and I and so other SEC fans that were paying attention thought they maight be good, but not the SEC/Rantards. Look at how everyone is trying to belittle what they they did by saying "3rd in the SEC West". SEC/Rantards routinely say good teams from other conferences can't compete in the SEC. Well, here have an example. They didn't "expose" the SEC, they just showed teams outside the SEC can hang by playing an SEC schedule.

I'm confused by all the conflicting arguments going on this board. Was the SEC down this year or did Texas A&M expose them? If the conference as a whole wasn't as good as normal, how can A&M be given credit for exposing anyone. I mean, all they did was play a bunch of teams in disarray.

no more so than the SEC fans who say constantly claim any highly ranked team from outside the SEC. The crawfishing in this thread is comically excuse making. 3rd in the west is just a technical designation. They were 6-2 in the SEC and beat the #2 team on the road. They have just as many top 10 wins as Bama and UGA, they just played a tougher schedule. If they got Tennessee instead of Florida, they'd be WEC West Champs.
