Thats misleading because these are long term investments and you have to factor in inflation over decades. It's not like there's a team up for sale every season.

Who are the big corporate people in Houston these days? Are they still tied to energy sector?
I used Shell as an example, not them buying the Rockets.

I kinda have Tilman Fertitta as my early darkhorse.

I don't think it will be someone from here. Les was from New York and lived in Florida
If it is Fertitta is probably the safe bet

You can't pick and choose bro. Either I am the best thing about this site or not. Take your pick.

Not that I would but You use Parker all the time
Nene was markedly better then Parker in the postseason.
We tried to be nice. Spotted y'all the first game. Tied a hand behind our backs without our two leading scorers in the postseason.
And y'all still fricking sucked. Second fiddle kinda franchise in houston tbh.

I'd like to see a group headed by Rusty Hardin.

Dude for the last time I don't care.
I don't think anyone does. Move on. Go play somewheres else. That was not an impressive victory for you. Or embarrassing for me/us. Google the serenity prayer. Find something better to spend your energy on. You not making any headway here.

Didn't Obama come out once and say he wanted to be an owner? I know he wont be majority owner but that would be an interesting wrinkle.

I'd be on board with Fertita buying them.

If Obama is a minority owner for the Rockets, the Warriors are my team.

The fact that your arena doesn't fill up at the beginning of playoff games as a three seed leads me to believe that there's a chance the team could get moved.

People here would melt so hard if Obama was a minority owner
Posted on 7/17/17 at 3:16 pm to SwaggerCopter
From memory these are the people I recall saying they wanted to own a NBA team at some time
Obama
Kobe
LeBron
Money Mayweather
ETA:
Obama as a minority owner would be a good PR move though, you do not think the players would not want to say I played for Obama at some point?
Of all those I think Money would be the disaster that makes the Nets Jay-Z and Dolphins J-Lo experiment look good.

It's funny because the Pels are probably the most likely NBA team to be moved in the near future
