It seems from what you posted above they can't do anything. They've even violated their NBAC with the fine amount. Btw is the lady facing illegal recording charges? She should once it's determined if she violated the supposed terms of her agreement with DS.

LeBron has stated he never said he would sit out and has no plans to if sterling doesn't sell.

Said this last night after the game. OP title is BS.

That's why players always cave during collective bargaining negotiations, right?

He willfully made a statement that is detrimental to the association. Whether he intended it to be private or not. If you don't want it going public keep it in your head.

They are looking for a reason to strip him of his team, and this is exactly why that provision is in there. IF you give the league a black eye you're out.

Roger Mason Jr's quote on Jim Rome: "I was just in the locker room three or four days ago. LeBron and I talked about this. He ain't playing if Sterling is still the owner."

He's backpedaling like a mfer now.

I was listening to a national radio sports show yesterday, and an African American gentleman called in and made the following point, that the host agreed with:

"What no one is talking about is that ownership is just a contract. No one in this country owns anything. They own it only by the grace of the US government. WE THE PEOPLE can take it from you at any time. We own it."

I could not imagine a more dangerous and un-AMerican thought process.

Ummm, he is technically correct.

If the majority of the people want to do something, they can do it. There are some protections and civil liberties but seriously, if the people want to take your shite, the people can take your shite.

I still contend that while he may be a racist and a bigot, I have not seen where he has done anything that would allow the NBA to have a vote to strip him of his team.

The whole point of that clause is to punish people who give the NBA a black eye, and in extreme cases give owners a chance to remove. them.

Whether he said it in private or not, you have no right to privacy over something you said to someone else. IF you want something private keep it to yourself.

Mason's being trotted out as the face of the union because NBAPA president Chris Paul can't exactly get in the middle of this as a Clippers player.

That's not to say CP3 doesn't end up better off one way or another out of this... the NBAPA has been agitating to invalidate the contracts of all players on the Clippers, which would help set off a feeding frenzy for CP3 and Blake's services in a summer where LeBron, Melo, and others could become FAs.
