I don't think you can dismiss the players' safety. It's not out of this world to believe something could have happened to them during the geopolitical storm that ensued.
That being said, yeah, LeBron was mad that he was inconvenienced by the tweet. As I've said many times, the NBA is simply tone deaf on the matter. They're not taking a hardline stance with China that will actually appease them, and they've managed to continually piss off more people in the states. It's pretty hard to piss off both sets of people, but leave it to the NBA apparently.

Not much propaganda on Tianamen in China as Chinese dissidents say the government mostly ignores it/ suppresses it . There is a simple sentence or 2 about the ' June 4 unrest " or "riots" in history books.
They are well aware that some students & workers were killed ,but looked at the transformation the Communist party has made in a once downtrodden China . Our govenrments helped give China propaganda.
