Someone needs to offer Kaepernick at the league minimum so he’ll turn it down and kill all this off.

"That's the only reason. I watch football every Sunday, every Thursday, every Monday night. I see all these quarterbacks -- first-string, second-team, third-team quarterbacks -- that play sometimes when the starter gets hurt or are starters that play. Kap is better than a lot of those guys. Let's just be honest."

He really does need to stick to playing basketball, that quote doesn't even make sense.

I just want to point out there are tons of people on the TD board without any college experience that love to tell us about their worldview

A lot of media outlets were saying there was a lot of interest. That much smoke means there was probably some fire.

Why can't people wrap their minds around the fact that it's not solely about "talent".

1) Kaep is not a good QB to begin with.

2) His talent level relative to the negative backlash he would bring from fans/consumers is the reason he is unemployed.

If Kaep was Tom Brady level, he'd be starting for an NFL franchise. I've said it a thousand times. Players are signed and/or not signed based on more than just their talent. If a player's talent is high, owners, franchises and fans are willing to put up with a lot of "off the field" bull shite. If a player's talent is negligible, then a franchise's tolerance for other bullshite is limited.

It's not difficult to understand, but people are so hell bent on his skin color being the reason he isn't on a team, that they completely ignore rational and logical thought concerning the matter.

Kaep made a choice and now he's experiencing the consequences of that choice. Welcome to being an adult.

Exactly. Every other kneeler is on a roster.

Most starters are either better than Kaep or are recent high draft picks who are going to be given a few years to prove themselves.

Well if you started cutting all the kneelers you'd have a product so crappy that the owners would lose way more money than they are now. Let's get real
