I hate we aren't advanced enough to make this happen.
Unfortunately we're 4.5 years removed from the Cole memos being rescinded, and having an attorney general implore fed prosecutors to pursue the death penalty in marijuana cases where it was applicable. While I don't agree with her sentence, we literally live in a country that can execute you for marijuana

Well LeBron, if she hadn't brought something illegal into that country she wouldn't still be there. It wouldn't bother me if she does get released at some point but the truth is she broke their laws, not America.

To all the entitled athletes, feel free to move to another country if you think things will be any better. We've heard this song and dance from actors and actresses, but it's weird how none of them have moved.
Here's a novel concept, educate yourself, learn the laws of the foreign country you are in, and follow them and that person wouldn't be in prison.
When you are a political prisoner of a foreign country, it is not only on the USA in this deal. That country wants something in return and will string this out as long as they can to get that return.

She was over in Russia for the same reason LeBron was PISSED that Morey pissed off the CCP over Hong Kong…
They get tons of money for being in that market and playing games, doing appearances, etc.
The reason LeBron lost his shite over the Hong Kong comments was that he had blown off annual commitments in China earlier that year to film Space Jam 2 and intended to fulfill them when the Lakers were over there for an exhibition.
Morey’s comments caused a shitstorm and put the players under lockdown, meaning he couldn’t fulfill his commitments and lost money as a result.
He wasn’t pissed over Morey “being uneducated” about Hong Kong, he was pissed someone cost him money he had plans for.
