If you don't realize it yet you're in denial or you're slow. He has the scoring ability of Michael Jordan and the floor vision of Magic Johnson. He's the perfect combo of speed, strength, size, skill, and work ethic. He will never be as polarizing or have as much impact on the game as Michael Jordan did, but he's the best basketball player to ever walk the earth and if you haven't realized it yet you're just behind.

Nope. Go back to Mrs. Jensen's English class before Principal Stonefield catches you for truancy kid.

What's crazy is that out of all of the professional sports leagues, the NBA seems to have regressed in terms of athleticism. There were better athletes and more physical players in the late 80's and 90's than there are in the league today.

how old are you
I'm 23, and let me guess that automatically means I can't possibly have a good opinion.
Well my first basketball memory is MJ in the '96 playoffs, I worshipped him. When I was 15 I went back and watched all of his finals games again (bc us young guys know how to work the Internet and videos). I love MJ, I realize how great he was/is. Lebron is bigger, stronger, and as talented. As for killer instinct he's finally developed that, he's the best.
But let me guess since I'm not 40 I can't understand right?

Better athletes
They were definitely more physical then though. There is really no doubt about that.

I know you made this because of his stat line last night, just want to remind you it was a triple overtime game as well
Yea I base all of my opinions on one game... I didn't even watch the game last night

I vote we appoint members to a "Delete all threads centered on LeBron James after the 1st Lebron James thread in a given day club".

Yeah, everyone else is behind.

I'm not even sure Bron has entered his prime yet and statistically his season this year will likely top any of MJ's ever. Not saying he is the GOAT at this point, but I would say to think it is impossible is a little naive

The old timers just like to think everything was better in their days.
That's really not it at all. The GOATs are the GOATs because they are that rare intersection of talent and drive. I think LeBron has the potential to be better than Jordan but he has to become as driven as Jordan was to get there. He's on the path, but being on the path and reaching the destination are 2 different things.

All you old guys act like its the young guys who don't understand, it's the other way around. You old guys will never let go of MJ no matter what, we are lucky enough to have gotten to see MJ, hear about MJ, look back at how amazing he was. But we're not locked into the thought that nobody could ever be as good, it's y'all that don't understand. Move on guys, it happens in every sport, MJ paved the way for a guy like Lebron. You can sit back and act like everything was better in the '90s but you're just wrong. You can try and discredit me bc I'm young but it doesn't matter my age, I've seen them both play in their prime, I know all about MJ's career. Age doesn't mean shite, you old guys need to catch up to the rest of the world and realize things can get better, people can be better than the things you remember. It's ok, step into the light

Obviously. I think people act like his athleticism was better than Jordan's...almost like MJ was just some overachiever with heart...dude was one of the most athletic players in any sport.
Lebron's combination of size, speed, and talent is off the charts.
People talk about Jordan as he is the greatest and nobody can ever top him. He's been put on such a pedestal and been marketed so hard that people get upset when they say someone could be better.
People rarely talk about the fact that the Bulls were a 55 win team without Jordan in '93. They were within 2 games of winning the East without him (regular season). They took the Eastern conference champ Knicks to 7 games. If you add Lebron to those Bulls teams, he'd have 6 championships as well. As it stands who knows how many he will end up with.
People who wont consider Lebron could be as good or better are stuck in hero worship mode due to the Air Jordan campaign.

Not yet. I think he has the potential, but greatest of all time implied a long career, he's not there yet.
