Lebron brought a shitty organization to a league contender every year without help and MJ brought a shitty organization to a plateau of shittiness without help. I think MJ is a baller but I also hate him because he's a douche. If he's so great, why couldn't he win without pippin?

IMO Lebron will never be the clear cut GOAT, but he will deserve to be in the discussion and that's all I want from him.

He had the Pistons and Celtics in his conference which were filled with all-time greats. MJ played extraordinary in those playoffs

If Lebron is so great, why couldn't he win without Wade and Bosh?

but didn't Delonte West throw him off his game by banging his mom?
Are you being serious right now?

And I actually mean that as a serious question.

I would KILL to know what type of numbers Jordan would put up in today's finesse game.

FWIW, defenses are better now than they were then.

They were more physical then, but they weren't as good as they are now, definitely not as complicated and intricate.

And that's the 90s, that doesn't even begin to talk about how there was just no defense played in the 80s. Watch ESPN Classic, one of those Lakers-Celtics NBA Finals from the 80s. I mean, actually sit and watch it, and it's laughable the D they played compared to today's game.

Just look at the rule changes since 2000. That late 80s & 90s NBA was a tough arse league. I don't think people understand that. There were no hand check fouls or fouls for putting elbow/forearms into to spines and kidneys. I'd love to see each guy switch eras

I REALLY think people are forgetting about those yars, and just going with the "Everything was better in my day"

Or, you think of the physical game, and you think those fouls by Laimbeer were happening 15 times a game.

Team defense today is so much more fluid and better than back then.

Because he played a whopping 2 seasons before Pippen got there?

And 2 seasons again with the Wizards near 40?

The "Without Pippen" thing is so ridiculous.

i think the elite defense back then were harder on a player than today. Then again, I think LeBron would put those elite defenses in foul trouble very quickly. A center can't camp out in the lane anymore, but back then zone defenses were illegal.

That was my biggest problem with LeBron back in the finals 2 years ago. He should have been driving when his jumper went cold and going to the line
