This is what you come up with when you cant blame the guy lebron intentionally punched in the face for being white.

Did anyone see the slow motion video? It’s was more than an elbow. It was a punch. Maybe that’s why the other guy wanted to beat his arse.

Watch the tape

Lebron will get one game for the Flagrant 2. This is only his second ejection in 18 years so it’s not like he’s a hothead.

Everything after that was started by the Pistons guy. The situation seemed calmed down and then he charged at the Lakers again. That should almost be regarded as a separate incident

It actually was. Everyone was tense, but calm, until the guy that got elbowed repeatedly went at lebron. I’m not saying he was wrong for doing so, but that doesn’t make chalmette’s post incorrect.

it can't be calmed down if it hadn't been escalated yet.

After the guy initially went at lebron and was held back, had he simply went to the locker room, this would basically be a non-story other than the cheap, flagrant shot by lebron and whether lebron would be suspended or not.

But instead he went back after him 2 more times. Again, not saying I necessarily disagree with the man trying to go after the man that just cheap shot him with an elbow to the face, just that the lakers and the rest of the pistons weren’t instigating anything after the fact.

that wouldn’t even be a story… Flagrant 2 fouls are an automatic one game suspension

I do not understand your point. Literally nobody else was the one that took a blow to the eye then had blood pouring off their face. I don't think the piston's teammates knew much at the time about what happened tbh. I don't understand your point at all. Lebron is the instigator. End of story.

My point is the entire incident would have calmed down, lebron ejected, and the game continued had Stewart not repeatedly gone after him.

Again, not necessarily saying he was wrong, but stating he continued the incident.

and after a certain cooling off period, that doesn’t absolve you of the responsibility to think rationally

I call it “fighter’s exception”. In the immediate aftermath of someone getting hit, they get to swing back in most circumstances, but when it cools down, it should be over

It’s the difference between Stewart being suspended or not. Lebron will get his game, but it’s possible for Stewart to act an arse too

Agreed. Lebron clearly looks at the guy and then backhands him in the face with a closed fist. At first it might’ve been two guys just jockeying for position, but Lebron ended up hitting him in the face when the other guy’s eyes were on the ball
