The one angle I saw it looked to be unintentional, but I could easily be wrong about that.
Either way, the other guy is the one coming off as a giant piece of shite and will get a harsher penalty.
When I was younger, people threw elbows and committed what would now be deemed flagrant fouls and that was just a part of the game. Basketball was a contact sport. It was more fun then. And with that, all of you children need to get off my lawn!!!

I don’t think he is an intern for the Lakers.
You might be able to argue recklessness, although it’s an incredibly weak argument considering both parties impliedly accepted the risk of contact by stepping onto the court and playing the game.
