Rodman would have broken him and he would have cried.

But he only ran a 4.6!
MJ is the GOAT IMO and LeBron doesn't stack up but 4.6 40 for a guy his size is just incredible. That's faster than Jarvis Landry at 6'9 250lbs. Just crazy athletic.

Rodman would destroy LeBron with his defense

Moving goal posts = using the data provided to prove the point.
You are the one moving the goalposts. Using your argument and logic:
Lebron - 10 Finals
Jordan - 6 Finals
Debate over. Remember if we dig any deeper into the data then we are moving the goalposts, by your logic and application of stats.

I genuinely dislike the MSB because the takes on here are so bad for Lebron that I defend him as a Lebron hater. You can dislike the guy and recognize his talent and accomplishments.
quote:Takes like this. I think Jordan is the greatest to ever lace them up. His peak is absolutely untouchable and that 7-8 year stretch is the most dominate we will probably ever see. That said...if you honestly think the Worm would have destroyed a top 3 player all-time that he was smaller than, slower than, less explosive than, shot poorer than, and had nowhere near the ballhandling of...then all you are doing is giving fodder to the Lebron fans who say Jordan had to have an elite supporting cast to win. The Rodman and Pippen both would beat Lebron 1v1 crowd takes away from Jordan, not James.

No, moving goal post is moving goal post and pretending you’re making a point against my standard when it’s actually yours just means you have no standards.
Posted on 4/16/26 at 10:32 am to Madking
quote:So if you call out someone, it's a rebutal. If someone points out why your standard isn't saying what you think it is, then it's moving the goalposts? That's not showcasing elite ball knowledge. That's a pigeon shitting on a chessboard and thinking it won because the game stopped.
my standard

Again it wasn’t my standard it was yours. You idiots are so emotional and reactionary you don’t even realize what you’re actually saying most of the time. Just scrambling to make gotcha points like a clown.

Rodman played defense, tough defense. LeBron never played when defense was a thing. Rodman would eat his lunch.

Nobody reading MJ fan’s takes can take them serious.

quote:What did you disprove about my claim? You threw numbers out, out of context. 9/15 is worse than 13/23 to which you called moving the goalposts. It's not emotional or reactionary it's facts. Moving the goalposts would have been me pointing out that if we capped it at the first 15 seasons the number drops to 6 missed Finals for James vs Jordan's 9. That would have been a fair 'don't move the goalposts'. Pointing out that 40% is lower than 43% is not that.
Again it wasn’t my standard it was yours.

I have to repost what we just posted and explain logic to you? Thanks for proving my point

The sheer mountain of results that appear when you Google "LeBron flopping" should make it clear he'd have no clue how to play with someone like Rodman on him.

Posted on 4/16/26 at 10:58 am to ReauxlTide222
quote:No Tide, that can't be. A guy outside of the top 25 in defensive efficiency would absolute destroy a top5 efficient scorer that has the highest win shares ever in 1v1. That just proves how good a guy with a similar efficiency rating, outside of the top5 in win shares really was.
Nobody reading MJ fan’s takes can take them serious.

You realize his first 7 seasons were on the 2000s, right?
He’s not inherently a flopper.
The league has created the situation themselves. They started rewarding players for it while LeBron was getting the Shaq treatment even though he was displaying skills of a smaller, elite player.
So he said frick it let’s play then.
None of us like it. It should be easy for the league to fix but they won’t do it.
And someone being a flopper simply doesn’t exclude them from being the best basketball player of all time. That’s absolutely retarded logic from y’all.

quote:You can't. Which is why your entire argument is posting numbers, having those numbers put into context, and then crying goalposts were moved.

You've done nothing but prove my point that you don't understand what you are posting and just say that the goalposts were moved. The goalposts were not moved, I told you why your rebuttal was not saying what you thought it did when given the actual context. I made a statement, you gave stats to refute said statement, I gave context to your stats, you cried I changed the argument, I asked for rebuttal, you said goalposts, I asked if you could rebuttal, you cried goalposts, I asked if you could rebuttal, you say I can't go back through all that and show why I'm right and if you need me to then you just don't get it.
If you want to be a gotcha twitter troll, then be that. If you want to swim in the deep end and talk ball, then up your game.

I swear these guys could make amazing political strategists(they’d need to count on an extremely ill informed base).
On one hand Rodman is a LeBron stopper.
On the other, Jordan didn’t have an incredibly dominant team with GOAT coaches and teammates in a putrid watered down league that he only won in after the talent level dropped.
