Well he did make it to the finals only to lose to the heat.

Managing egos is vastly underrated in the nba, so I don't believe every coach could have had equal success as Spo.

you can't be serious shel....???

any coach in the NBA could take the Heat to the playoffs with how weak the NBA conference is and how shitty Miami's division is. don't kid yourself.

Miami Heats roster is older than the LA Lakers roster. Good try though.

You as a Lakers bandwagoner should know that managing egos is important for a coach of a talented team.

My point still stands that outside of those 3, the team is awful.

So do you need to have a team full of superstars to be successful?

Raymond Felton isn't a superstar by any means but dude is a solid player. Iman Shumpert is a tier-1 defender. The rest are role players that know their role.

I respect your opinion....but I definitely do not agree.

Where is the proof we have of the guys on the Heat having big ego's. LeBron and D Wade seem to love playing together and some of their teammates have taken less money to play with them. That doesn't sound like they have too big of ego's.

this is the best you've got? weaksauce. give me more mattz

it's well documented Wade, LBJ, and Bosh are close friends. i expect more from you Mattz. Butthurt I don't think McHale should be COY?

look at the SouthEast Division:
- Atlanta Hawks
- Orlando Magic
- Charlotte Bobcats
- Washington Wizards
- Miami Heat

John Brady could manage to get them in as a 8th seed at worst with Wade, LBJ, Bosh and a bunch of spot up shooters.

Spo is so overrated.

Turned a shite team into a playoff team before the Big 3. Pathetic how people just blindly call him overrated.. Especially after a Heat loss to protect LeBron from the criticism.

Heat win = LeBron is GOAT
Heat lose = Spo sucks

I'm sure all of you bashing Spo know more about basketball than Pat fricking Riley.

Can many coaches do what Spo has done the past 3 years? Maybe.. Probably..

But how many coaches can turn a 15 win team into a playoff team the following year? Spo did.

That shite team was pretty damn good not too long before that. You think the injuries had something to do with that? Not to mention Pat Riley was headed into retirement.

Had one of the top 5 players in the league and played in the worst division in the NBA.

Sooooo difficult.

Heat are winning and I still think Spo is incredibly overrated.

I have yet to see any viable proof that I am wrong.

He almost fired him a few years ago. What does Pat Riley have to do with this any way?

Yes. Most likely 75% of them could. The only coach he may be better than that is left in the playoffs is the Pacers coach.

You mean nearly the same team that won the finals the year before?

Didn't D Wade miss nearly half of that season?

That playoff team was 3rd in their division and barely above .500 IN THE EASTERN CONFERENCE.

Because you're entire premise is false.

Riley picked an unknown because he didn't want an established guy like Phil Jackson to get all the credit and upstage his own accomplishments. Once the Big 3 is no more and Spo gets another job, he will be just like Mike Brown.

When the Big 3 weren't playing like everyone thought they would during their first season, I couldn't turn on sports radio or television without hearing how Spo should be let go and Riley should take over. Now that things are clicking I hear Spo is overrated and anybody could win games with those players. What does he have to do to be considered a good coach?

They said that because a team that talented had no excuse to be playing that bad and loosing to teams like the Hornets.

My point is he hasn't won a ring, and he won't win a ring this year.

Spo >>>>>>>>>>> Brooks
