Pog was really good today. He put Vin to the sword pretty proper today. The tour might not be over, but this was a big shot across visma’s bow. Long way to go and like they say, the tour is won in the high mountains. BTW…Remco doing Remco things.

Barring a crash, the Tour is over. Pogi can name his winning margin.

I'd love to see Pog come out with a Yellow jersey with green polkadots tomorrow.

11k + feet of climbing tomorrow and not even close to the mountains yet

Curious what happens w Visma going forward.
Only 5 days in and here we are.
Tadej will probably lower viewership after tomorrow as the stage suits him quite well.

eta: One sprint available tomorrow so let’s see if anyone tries to take the Green from him

Today was about what I expected but I didn't expect Jonas to concede quite that much.

I am all for gear, I love the stuff, but WTF with the absolute state of aero helmets. They should be banned, not for performance reasons but the ones like Jonas and MVDP were wearing look absolutely idiotic. I think anyone that wears something like they did and does not win the ITT should get a time penalty on principle. Just let them put a fairing on the bike, at least that would look cool.

Remco won and didn't look near as odd

Literally looked like Dark Helmet in Spaceballs.
Maybe they are doing pre-shoot gorilla marketing for SB2 that they recently announced. Awful

Some of them look terrible.

They’re banned after this year in anything but TT’s.

I’d be a fan of making stage race TT’s Merckx style. But the bike manufacturers would never let that occur.

Fun stage today! I think we'll see a few more of those before everyone gets nuked by the mutants on stages 12-14. What a brutal stretch of riding they have coming.

Ben Healy stomp. Was hoping Quinn would go and Healy would follow and they would battle it out together. Did not expect him to get away alone with 40k to go.

I was hoping Quinn would make a move, and eventually get the stage, but it ended up being Healy going solo. But not mad Healy and EF Education got the stage win. Quinn appeared to still have some legs at the end. He may have been feigning a little exhaustion earlier. He will still have some opportunities to take a stage, but the door will start closing once the mountain stages begin and the GC contenders start battling it out more.

Nice win for Ben. Hoping for QS victory but wasn’t to be.

Great job Ben. Great job by MVDP for grabbing back yellow. While he was probably trying to hold the yellow in a way it is a perfect scenario for Pog and UAE; they don't have to defend, and only a second behind, plus the leader is a non-GC contender.

I understand there's better commentary out there, but I never understand how you guys let commentary ruin it for you.
Yeah the viewing experience can be better, but no amount of bad commentary is going to turn a great race into bad for me unless they're just blasting vuvuzelas. And that goes for all sports for me

Subtle “I hate soccer brag”

After almost one full week I don’t hate the feed. Commercials always annoy me and there is a TON of cheese. But it’s not awful. A cool moment happened today when they were basically counting down until Healy passed by them on camera, Healy was a blur and obviously zipped by, but their reaction was genuine and cool.

I really do miss the shite out of the international feed.
Nonstop, the jingle, the historical facts of the architecture and landscape.
I said it a few days ago, but bring that back and I’ll pay $100 for that coverage
