Bastille Day Is tomorrow. Look for the French riders to be all over this and monkey wrench things. Might be a real sh!t show. Who knows…

What a colossal waste of energy for MVDP today. He had to know this was always going to be sprint.

They were hoping an echelon would bridge up to them and he could sprint it out from that group

MVDP wanted to help get a career domestique on the podium. Jonas Rickaerts was the most combative racer today and got his dream of standing on a TDF podium. Pretty cool story.

Visma let the break get too far up the road for Yates to be useful at all and now are going to let Pogi give away yellow.

Lenny Martinez full on leading out Pog up the climb is one of the stranger things I've seen. What are you doing bro?

If Vinny attacked the Visma guys would have dropped from the break and then pulled once caught by Vinny and Pog

Ben with another great ride. The head tilt is a little weird to me, but it works for him. I expected more today but I think most are cooked and need the rest. Visma has more horses but can/or will that make a dent in Timmy. Wish I knew the answer but it looks unlikely at this point. The real stuff is still coming. Watch and enjoy!

I saw some data and his position is actually very aerodynamic but man is his style ugly. It makes him look like a 93 year old man struggling to ride a bike.

Even stage win aside, they did well today. They had Pog somewhat isolated, but Sepp Kids burned out too fast when he went up to set the pace

They burned matches for the sake of aggravating Pogacar. Ok…

This was the exact same type stage Vinny beat Pog in last year. Medium mountain, 4000+ meters of climbing not as my KMs though. UAE controlled the break brought it back Pog attacked. They tried the exact same thing this year. UAE tried to win the stage but the break was too strong this year with EF and other trucks from the other teams pulling full to win the stage.

A week from today is Mont Ventoux.
A ton of important racing before then but that's always an amazing stage.
