Chipper is the answer.

Everyone should love Altuve but some people bought into the hysteria and/or are sore losers.

Probably have to go all the way back to this guy....

Count me as someone who did not like George Brett. Met him at Super Bowl XX IN 1986. I was bartending in a suite at the dome. He was an arrogant prick . Brett was full of himself. Met John Kruk in the 90's.... he was a riot.....and the late Mike Shannon.....he could tell some of the best stories once he was liquored up, one of the nicest guys you could ever meet.

Yeh I happened to catch Brett leaving his suite when the Royals played in Omaha a few years ago. He couldn't seem more put off that someone recognized him then some kids spotted him and he literally tried to run from them.

Gwynn? Seems like no one could hate on tony

Hard to judge really. A lot more kids playing baseball now and the clubs are getting pick of the litter so the talent level is very high…. Also I tend to think the 27 hour sports cycle and talking idiot heads and opinions suck the fun out of anything. Everything has to be broken down and magnified.

Maybe not elite enough for this conversation, but did anyone hate Hunter Pence? Also Trout. Was never on a good enough team to hate.

At the time of his retirement, Jamie Moyer had faced 8.9% of all MLB hitters in history.
He also kept his houses when he was traded to different teams. He would then rent the houses to MLB players that were new to cities. When he went back to Baltimore, he moved back into his old house.
