I have TONS of family that went to St. Thomas More, even kin by marriage to a former principal. The school is known as a brat school lol, HOWEVER, they have retained two coaches (Broussard in basketball and Hightower in football) since the school was STARTED in 1983, along with the softball and volleyball coaches still there from at least 2013. I wonder how much they put up with!

the coaches dont put up with shite and admin supports them. the parents either get in line or get to stepping and thats why they win in everything.

i can tell you St Louis has essentially become the same way and will be even more so when new school is finished

Barbe baseball is like that as is Sam Houston.

schools need to learn to support the coaches if they are winning.

They waited two months until they complained. They were over it until he got benched.

Coach tossed a bat in kid’s general direction at practice and it grazed his arm

if it touched the kid then it is more than in his general direction... it was actually at him.

Y’all, would be fortunate to have him. I know he still wants to coach again. He has an outside job. We will always be fans!
Looks like she’s wiping out more of the staff too.

i mean there is a certain school i would love him at but they have a coach. but the school has great facilities in swla and needs a coach that can organize and keep discpline. but like i said, they have a coach.

sulphur is open though. should get a ton of people asking for interviews.

Was Boomer a teacher at Lakeshore or a non-faculty coach?

Follow the money. Seems the "parents" in question, donate to the school. If that is true, I think the principal needs to be looked at. My kid is there as well.... I'll leave it at that.

Admin investigated. Kid was interviewed. All was good. Again, he played every game until he became a discipline problem and had to sit, TWO MONTHS LATER! Then they wanted to bring it up again.

Yep, glad to see St. Louis improving too. They just have to get softball going.

Will St. Louis have an on campus field when the new school is built?

yes if they can raise the money. breaking ground on school portion in august.

fundraising for facitlities has already started, hoping to get everything built at once

dont worry about softball, I think that is the next sport they really try and improve.

losing girls bball coach is gonna hurt though.

Idk man Tony is a good guy, but before the split they'd lose in the first round every year. He's been there a long time.

Sulphur’s head coach has retired. Supposedly they have made a hire that will be announced by Friday. It’s going to shock a lot of people if true.

I know their coach who got them to semi- finals last year resigned after season. Wonder if he was reading the writing on the wall.

Lakeshore played a hell of a season and the coach deserves administrative support. Parents are ruining all levels and creating current and future problems for their kids.

He wanted to be in administration. Once he used Lakeshore as a stepping stone to that position, he has not done much to support our program.
On another note, we have no lights or covered bleachers. It ridiculous. All games are at 4:00. They need St. Tammany to get behind them. Lord knows there is enough money for it.
I hope nothing but the best for this team. Hope they make another run next year, despite the odds. It was a good program, despite the hiccups along the way.
