Damn. You would think something like that would happen during the summer for a D1 program?

Certainly not in the middle of a weird, COVID challenged football season.

I thought Vandy had done away with the AD position a while back. I guess they brought it back.

There's something odd about this. I know some fans up in Ruston didn't think much of him, but to leave now? Weird.

And is vandy really that much better than tech? Other than Nashville vs Ruston of course.

Vandy still would have to have advertised that job as an opening, wouldn't they?

I just don't see a transition from Ruston to squeezing money out of very rich northerners who send their offspring to Vandy.

Yes it is.
You're in a much better institution, who's athletic program makes much more money, in a far better conference.

You’d have to think that this is possibly caused in part by potential huge budget shortcomings by Tech due to the China virus this year.

Lol...it’s Vandy!!!! Perfect landing spot for an under-achieving AD. That’s the Harvard of the SEC so they don’t expect much. Beating Florida would be their Nat Champ game!! Good riddance Micky Mouse

In my opinion this is good news for us. I’m ready to see an AD that cares about Tech.

I agree it's good for Tech's athletic program to try to find a more aggressive AD. Just seemed odd for this to happen in the middle of the football season.
