Lies and not even on subject. 2018 Clemson is 3 or 4 TDs better than 2019 Clemson and 2019 OU was one of the worst teams to ever make the playoffs.

Maybe, but people who did not watch the LSU team don’t realize the massive defensive improvement over the course of the season. The same defense at the beginning of the year would not have performed to the same level if they played the same schedule earlier in the season. You just want to insist on a very particular viewpoint for no real reason.

I’d like to see exactly how the people that record these stats know what Diggs’ responsibility is every play.
How do they discern between holes in zone coverage?
Not saying he doesn’t give up catches, he does. I just don’t think he’s nearly as bad as all of these analytic folks are making him out to be. Some PFF guy came on in Dallas radio today and said he’s the third best corner on the cowboys roster. Some of these angles are nothing but hot takes.

For him to get so many INTs, he has to get thrown at a lot. The quick answer would be to analyze how often a team throws to whoever Diggs is guarding vs how often teams throw to people being guarded by other DBs on the Cowboys.

Trevon Diggs has the 8th best QB rating in coverage in the league and only 3 of the guys ahead of him are full time starters and only 1 of them is a corner.

LSU beat three quarterbacks during their run (Tua, Hurts and Lawrence) that all took over as starters during their Rookie years. The Bama, OU and Clemson teams also had top caliber talent at RB and WR.
