Lexi Thompson is ranked 3rd in the world, and when she’s clicking, she’s pretty much unbeatable in the women’s game. She is the female version of Rory or Brooks in that sense.

I don’t disagree at all that the Korean dominance is impressive, but I also find it interesting how big the gap is between the men’s and women’s performance for Korean golfers. Korean men are basically a non-factor in the sport, even when compared to countries/regions of similar size and economic development like England, Spain, Australia, Scandinavia, and even Italy. And golf is super popular there among men and boys - it’s not a passion or interest issue.

This sounds good until you face reality.

Asians love team sports like soccer, baseball, volleyball and basketball.

There are far more examples of successful Asian baseball players than tennis and golf combined.

TBH, I can’t tell the difference between a male and female Korean unless they drop trow.

American women golfers are too busy posting selfies on Instagram to worry about golf.
