It's pretty simple. Lebron has no jumpshot. He drives to the goal like a bull in a china closet and throws people out of the way.

Even though Kobe doesn't do that, he can still drive to the goal and score on people just as successfully. Add to that the fact that he can make a shot outside of 4 feet and you can easily see why "currently" he is better than Lebron.

This is easily one of the most incorrect things I've ever seen on this board, lol.

Kobe is a better outside shooter. That is a given, no one will argue that.

Now, if Kobe makes more outside shots, but LeBron's FG is higher, then how in the world can your statement that Kobe can drive to the goal and score "just as successfully" possibly be correct??

Please please answer that question.

The answer is it can't, and you're wrong, plain and simple.

NO ONE in the NBA has the ability to get to the rim and score on dunks and layups like Lebron can, and it's not even close. To say Kobe can do it just as successfully is so wrong, it's actually pretty funny.

Kobe is just as dominant as Lebron when he puts the ball on the floor and goes to the hole

I swear the posters who are saying this are just saying to get people riled up because ther is no possible way they believe that Kobe can get to the hole as successfully as Lebron, no possible way.

Because he's 30 and Lebron is 23, not because he's physically incapable. Kobe has so much mileage on his body that I don't blame him for settling for jumpers.

Ok. Without discussing who is better or anything like that, can we please get 1 thing straight.

At no point in Kobe's entire lifetime could he EVER drive to the hole and finish as good as LeBron can right now. If you think he can, I just don't know what to tell you.

i'm not getting into this entire debate about who is the better player, but 8 additional assists would result in greater than 9 points. unless they're giving lebron credit for assists on free throw attempts now

The combination of Lebron's much greater assists/rebounds total far surpassed the 9 point difference between the two games. LeBron at 52-11-10 simply had much more to do with his team winning than Kobe's 61-3-0.

If the game is on the line I want Kobe with the ball over Lebron. Now if I am buliding my team I want Lebron.

That's a team accomplishment, who cares, we're debating an individual accomplishment.

That makes zero sense, really.
