do your stats take into account Lebrons two......yes two turnovers in that should have cost him game 6?
As said before...............LeBron should have sucked Ray Allen off after Tuesday nights game.
Also......Kobe has been in the league longer and had more opportunities to take those shots so the stats are skewed.

quote:The convenient teammates excuse, but if someone points out Lebron doesn't have as many rings because of his less than stellar CLE supporting cast, that same side doesn't buy the teammate excuse. Kobe and MJ and lots of other greats would have been doing lots of sucking off too, right?

quote:How does more shots equate to being skewed towards his stats are worse? That doesn't make sense. Lebron has 10 years worth of data, the sample sizes are both large enough to be completely relevant.

quote:That doesn't make much sense. We are talking percentages. Unless you think a larger sample size will normalize James' shooting percentage to near Kobe's dreadful 26% or Kobe will all of a sudden start creating better shots despite slowly slipping athleticism.

Add Kobe's elimination stats for reference if you have them.
5-12-97 - 11pts on 29% shooting Loss
5-24-98 - 6pts on 100% shooting Loss
5-23-99 - 16/8/3 on 44% shooting Loss
6-04-00 - 25/11/7/4 on 47% shooting Win
5-15-03 - 20/6 on 47% shooting Loss
6-15-04 - 24pts on 33% shooting Loss
5-06-06 - 24pts on 50% shooting Loss
5-02-07 - 33pts on 33% shooting Loss
6-17-08 - 22pts on 32% shooting Loss
5-17-09 - 14/7/5/3/2 on 33% shooting Win
6-17-10 - 24/15 on on 25% shooting Win
5-08-11 - 17pts on 39% shooting Loss
So 3-9 with awful numbers

quote:so in other words, he could have gotten 7+ rings?
His FG% would be better and his team would be better.

Shut up Kobe is the best. He takes the ball in the 4th and shoots it a ton and they win sometimes. Greatness.

ask Pelican fans how clutch Kobe is.

Kobe's clutch gene was putting teams away to where the clutch the gene was not needed

Look downsouth, i'm not attacking you, but it is an undeniable fact Kobe has not been good over his entire career in 4th quarters/game winners as Jordan or Lebron. Its not up for argument
Posted on 6/20/13 at 11:33 am to lsupride87
his resume says otherwise, but ok

quote:His resume shows a lower fg % and game winners % in the 4th q than both Lebron and Jordan. You are either misinformed, a liar, or a troll

For as much as people trash LeBron fans on here, Kobe fans are infinitely harder to have an actual basketball discussion with. Any criticism is immediately met with "rings!!!!", "resume", "clutch!!!!!", "mamba", "well he's obviously doing something right", etc. AlexLSU and VKC ARE the only ones who aren't a complete asses.

Stats don't always tell the whole story. Are you saying that Kobe is not clutch?
Shel, I'd like to hear your opinion as well.

quote:I believe, for the most part, clutch is a made up term by a bunch of Mass Com media majors who never played sports. The end of the game is the end of the game. Pro athletes are so damn good they are all "clutch." I guarantee if we looked at the stats of all NBA players they are all pretty similar in these so called "clutch" situations

ETA: Why is Tom Brady "clutch" b/c his kicker made the field goals to win the Super Bowl, but Jim Kelly isnt b/c his kicker missed?
