New York Knicks have become the top-selling Championship team ever on Fanatics.
The Philadelphia Eagles had held the record for sales in the 24-hour period following a title. The Knicks are also on pace to become the company’s best-selling team ever, a mark that hasn’t been touched since the Chicago Cubs broke their century-plus championship drought in 2016, according to data provided by Fanatics, the NBA’s e-commerce partner.
Immediately after New York’s victory on Saturday night, Fanatics released more than 300 Knicks-branded championship products. At one point, the company was taking in 8,000 orders per minute, a Fanatics record.
Knicks fans have have been buying up team gear all over New York City, whether the merchandise is licensed or not. Many bought items from Fanatics Fan Wagon, a mobile store that drove around New York making stops to sell goods.
Tickets to go to any of the five games were some of the most expensive ever. Games 3 and 4 in New York trailed only Super Bowl 58 that took place in Las Vegas, where the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers, according to data from SeatGeek.
The Knicks flew back to New York immediately following their Game 5 victory and will continue to celebrate in the city with fans on Thursday for the team’s first ever ticker-tape parade.

Team in the biggest market and unchallenged in that market wins first title in 50 plus years?
What a shock!

Not directly in response to this post, but I’m glad they won.
Wemby is gonna win multiple in the future. He didn’t need to start already. I’m not a Knicks fan, but I don’t “hate” the Knicks. Feels like they deserve an opportunity after 53 years.
It was fun to watch. I know it was 4-1, but the games were pretty insane for the most part

Bandwagon followers are mentally weak losers.
Like kids walking around in Louisiana wearing Bama gear.
or
Going to the Pelicans home game, only to be outnumbered when you go watch them play the Lakers.
Just a bunch of pussies that have no hometown pride or principled constitution to their loyal local fandom.
Hate to see anything positive happen to the city of New York.
Insufferable idiots.

Least surprising thing ever.
Major market starved of a championship for decades in a city prone to front runners.

Good. You need to be in style when you beat the shite out of each other and set things on fire.
