But no one turns down that kind of money. How else will he be able to afford his Mr. T starter kit and tank tops that display his self-insecurity?
He took a pay cut to go to ESPN...

I've just come to accept that as someone in my mid 30s, I'm no longer part of Gameday's target audience.
Then who is their target audience?
Does anyone at Disney even know at this point? Do they even care?
My guess is it’s being run by people on the coasts who don’t care about these sports and who get very confused when the things that make perfect sense to them and their coastal circle of friends don’t work for the red states who make up most of their actual potential viewers.

I generally like McAfee, but there is a reason for this
You can’t pick fights with entire footbal programs and fan bases. You wear your welcome out real quick.
Fans booing Corso because he puts the head gear of the opposing team is all in good fun. But McAfee telling the Washington State head coach and fan base to “Like, shut up! Washington State, about sick of you! Waste of time on this show." makes it really hard for people to take the show seriously.
Now he’s telling Georgia fans to “go to hell”.
ESPN needs to rein him in or people will tune into other college football shows. Didn’t the Fox pregame show get more viewers then ESPN on the day of Michigan-OSU?

If Herbstreit leaves Gameday is dead and everyone at ESPN knows it.
They also knew they were putting out a stale product since Corso had his health issues which is why McAfee was brought in.
The problem is say McAfee leaves, who can they replace him with that would bring some energy to the set? Kirk needs to be the straight man to a Corso type for it to be balanced.
McAfee needed to embrace being the heel if that was his schtick and not get in his feelings about mean tweets. If you’re gonna be the bad guy, be the bad guy and own it.
They also need to understand that barstool has taken part of their market and it’s not coming back. Accept that, find a sidekick for Kirk who he can riff with and print money.

Yup. He earned some points with me when he punked GA fans after that song.

They just need to let Corso retire.

Pat is great on gameday…. Kirk is the standard on the show. Pat haters are just little cry babies.

I’m in the sane boat. At least he brings some energy and he’s actually very knowledgeable.
