Khabib v. Tony won't be in New York, match could be out of USA

I knew the state of NY would not let this fight happen. Here's to Dana actually trying to salvage the fight. I know he would want to keep it in the western hemisphere for US PPV buys, but it would be wild to have the most anticipated fight in years, one that has already fallen through multiple times before, in Russia.
I think S. America is pretty light on virus cases..so is Mexico and so is Russia.

Khabib vs. Ferguson will not take place in New York
UFC president Dana White has been insistent that UFC 249: Khabib vs. Ferguson will move forward on April 18 as scheduled. He did recently however indicate that the event might be on the move, quite possibly to a location outside of the United States.
The reason for that move is that New York, per an ESPN report from Marc Raimondi, has informed the UFC that the event will not be allowed to take place in the state.

Brazil... Maybe...
I wonder if there's anywhere in the world that will hold a 10-20,000 person audience in one building at this point in time. You'd want a crowd to add juice to the event.
I say they have it outside somewhere in a big open air stadium.

Thought there were travel bans to Europs/Asia. Would they be able to get back in the country?

Probably zero chance this is in front of an audience anywhere. If it doesn't happen, this has to be the most snake bitten fight in combat history.

If they leave, they wouldn't... But I don't know where Russia falls. I feel that's a Longshot anyway, due to the time zone issue as previously stated.
Mexico or S. America seem pretty logical. Canada likely out I would bet, they have as many cases as the US.
I just hope Both Tony and Khabib are solitary up on some mountains so where training with a small camp and don't interact with the public. Knowing this fight s history, one if them will get diagnosed 5 days before the event.

I thought you can come back if you’re a US citizen and get tested upon entering the country again

Map from today of average new cases around the world. Wonder if mma is big in Columbia or Argentina?

Have it in a Russian plant in front of the workers.

They should go old school and do it on an Indian reservation

Antarctica. I don’t think there has been a single case in the whole continent.

There’s a video of some dude on YouTube playing zangief’s SF2 theme on electric guitar. It’s damn amazing.

disappointed. I just cancelled my flight and hotel after hearing the news last night. hopefully, dana can pull something out of his arse and make this happen. If it doesnt happen I doubt they make it again. This fight needs to happen though, it is by far the best fight the UFC can put on, maybe even in history of the sport.

I’m guessing it will happen in UAE
