I am so happy for Cherie. She is a good trainer and is one of the reasons why Jose Ortiz went down there. Who says FG horses aren't any good? (Me me me ) lol. Good day all around.

The overhead shot down the stretch… absolutely incredible, what a great kick! Congrats to Ortiz, DeVaux and of course, Golden Tempo.

I think my M-I-L had $10 (maybe 20) on Tempo to win.
my Son in law hit the $1 exacta.

Its an automatic scratch in KY when a horse hits the ground

The reason is that DeVaux, Asmussen, McPeek and Cox (until this year) and others train their best in New Orleans. They may not race them here (Asmussen certainly doesn't) but they train them here. Cox moved a large part of operation to South Fla this season. Ortiz is making great connections for the rest of the year while dominating the racing in the winter.
It's hard to see the FG quality that when parsing through the din of conditioned 5 claimers on a Friday card.
Meanwhile Churchill dotes on Turfway, Ellis and Colonial, while treating FG like crap.

Female trainer. Respect.
trainer Cherie DeVaux looks like Janice Soprano
That's fricking hilarious. She really does.
And then the picture of Tony and the horse. I forgot they killed and burned the horse.

The opportunity to have a real major race meet in NOLA is there. How can FG have such low purses compared to low-handle tracks like Colonial and Ellis? Wake up, La Racing Commission.
And Congrats to Golden Tempo and Cherie DeVaux.
Make sure you add the LHBPA in there as well

Yep pretty spot on.
Asmussen runs 300-400 horses at Oaklawn every year and only runs 100 at FG. He is at Oaklawn because the purses are better and he doesn't have a lot of turf horses. Plus he claims alot at Oaklawn and hardly any at FG

He also rides his terrible jockey son at OP. Cox went to GP because he wanted to have better riders. Irad was 1st call all winter.

Her husband pretty much picks out her babies and gets owners. He has a good eye being a bloodstock agent.
