Never have i heard him so passionate about the criminal organization known as the LHSAA.

He was just on local sports radio here in Monroe, LA.

Spoke about both Brother Martin and Hahnville in particular. He descriptively and thoroughly destroyed any logic to the idea of recruiting at privates (especially the archdiocese schools like Jesuit, Brother Martin, St Aug, etc.). He spoke distinctly about how Private and Public schools both have a responsibility to go out and promote their schools--it is their job and for public they all do it and for good reason.

Said, that the crux of the Hahnville ruling had to do with the Louisiana High School Football Magazine editor wanting to put Robison on the cover of his magazine. He contacted the father and since the son was in the middle of transition he wore a Hahnville Jersey.

That is it for what we know now. Kid was headed to Hahnville already and just had not made the move. Salt provided the jersey. The kid loses his entire year ..

Louisiana is such a joke across the board in every aspect of life.

Ken Trahan is not the most credible person on these matters given his Catholic League favoritism

Then he's ignorant

And chasing fame cost the kid. Parents could have said, "Not now". But that's the LHSAA's fault? Sometimes girls do porn to be 'famous'. Doesn't mean they won't suffer any consequences for that decision.

Yeah, this one is especially embarrassing. And shows absolutely no depth of intellect. Because you will notice that those same coaches spend zero time being responsible and dutiful in promoting their schools to the 135 lb. white, asthmatic, nerd with stellar test scores. Odd how they only seem to promote their schools to the parents of skilled athletes.

Of course coaches promote the school to athletes, that is what they do at the school. But I guarantee the schools do way more promoting and advertising for academics than athletics.

uh, that's the very definition of recruiting. Ask any college coach.

HE WAS ALREADY HEADED TO HAHNVILLE WTF?

The coach made the move and was hired at HHS--he just had not transferred YET. Vanderbilt Catholic didnt even play HHS this year . So they get vengeful, for whatever reason and turn him in on a technicality.

It is time for all rules to be abolished. Let every school have the same opportunity to do as they wish. Rules are a joke.

Do they?

They aren’t a business, they don’t need to bring in students, they are supplied for them.

They should be trying to take LESS students and save tax money.

Rumor is that the kid actually asked the Vandebilt coach if he could wear his VC jersey, and they told him to frick off. Salt made a mistake giving him a Hahnville jersey to wear while not yet a student there.

I wonder the same, Lou. I didn’t care about high school sports when I was in high school.

Am I being led to believe a hs kid cant wear another hs's Jersey during an interview, or he loses eligibility?

Nah, something else happened

When dealing with the LHSAA anything is possible or nothing at all. They are as wishy washy as they come.

I expect the kid to regain his eligibility for sure. With Vanderbilt Catholic coming out today in favor it seems of him being able to play the LHSAA will not wish to look like the entity that caused a senior to lose eligibility by a ridiculous ruling, UNLESS they have some serious chicanery they have not released.

I will be waiting to hear what, if any, chicanery their truly was. Seems the LHSAA will need to showcase their findings to stop the Hahnville Community from burning the LHSAA headquarters to the ground.

I hear they are fire right now and some kind of upset.

It is not illegal for private schools to recruit, it is illegal for them to offer inducements or recruit kids currently enrolled at other LHSAA HSs

Technically all of the students at a private school are recruited, not just athletes. Open house is legal recruiting for a private school
