Marcus is a fraud. Thank God that Landry and Rousse got Lane here. There's no doubt that Marcus would be LSU's coach if Woodward or Tate got in the way.

Are you sure about that? Kelly lost to Cincinnati in 2021, and that was why Cincinnati made the CFP and Notre Dame didn’t.

As someone who experience both Kelly and Freeman while I was at ND, Kelly absolutely knew how to lose the big games. In fact, he’d usually get blown out. Vs Miami, vs Clemson, vs Alabama, all blowout losses. Freeman took us to the natty and at least has ND competitive in these games!

Marcus is much better than BK. BK usually didn’t lose to the Purdue’s of the world, but he never won big games. Marcus has won some big games and even got to the national championship game.

ND upgraded. LSU did them a favor. I don’t know why there are still holdouts on coming to terms with this very obvious fact. Kelly was still a great coach at ND. But he obviously couldn’t keep up with the times and/or just aged out of putting in the effort needed to win in the SEC.

Kelly was at Notre Dame for 12 years and never won a major bowl game. Freeman has already won playoff games and taken them to a national championship.
What exactly makes anyone think Kelly would have beaten BYU last night? His stellar record in big games? LSU fans couldn't wait to get rid of the guy, and now we're pretending he'd be doing better than Freeman at ND.
