Plus Durant didn't have to touch the ball near as much as Lebron.

The Warriors are the most stacked team in NBA history. Lebron has been the most inpressive player in the series. The Warriors are just have too much talent for the rest of the league to compete.

The Warriors have 4-5 legit superstars on their team when all other team have at most 2, maybe 3. The Cavs overcame the amount on talent of the Warriors who had 4 legit superstars last year because of incredible performances by James and Irving.

It doesn't make Lebron not a top 2 player all-time because he can't overcome the huge talent disparity between the two teams.

Name the four superstars for GS last year. I'll wait. There wasn't a talent disparity at all. If anything, with Curry and Bogut playing hurt, it was fairly even, if not slanted toward Cleveland

On the other hand, this series does nothing to solidify his claim as the number 2 as well. I guess when you live by the super team, you die by the super team and that's all that can be learned from this series.

Lebron 17 turnovers thru 3 games.

KD 6 TO's.

Lebron has been turning the ball over at a more impressive rate.

Bron has made 36 FGs to Durant's 37, yet only 8 of LeBron's makes were assisted, compared to 25 for Durant. That is an astronomical number. Hell, even isolation specialist Kyrie has been assisted on a higher percentage of his makes than LeBron.

You do understand that Lebron handles the ball for the majority of the game, and scores from isos, right? Obviously someone like Kd (can be off ball scorer on this team) will be assisted on more shots

Also LeBron NEVER shoots spot up outside shots, KD does a lot

Lebron having such a high usage rating gives him the oppurtunity to get assists, and less of being assisted

Isn't that the point? He's doing it out of necessity. Irving plays with blinders on and Deron Williams is arse. They don't have another facilitator.

Curry, Green, and Iguodala are all great passers and capable of finding Durant when he's open. Not that KD isn't the better off-ball player anyway but it's really not even an option for LeBron right now.

Exactly the excuse is Lebron=tired.

The reasons are coaching, poor style of play, execution, and the Warriors are the better team.

So we are to take pitty on the 2nd best player of all time for having to play against a super team when he has built himself two super teams to get his 3 rings?

It doesn't necessarily have to be pity, but acknowledgment that he did not have the better team this year.

You do realize why though, right? Because Cleveland has no other player on the team who is a good facilitator. Kyrie isn't. Love isn't. Who will facilitate to assist LeBron with easy looks?

And guess what...KD was the same as LeBron last year, so I kinda think KD is actually all the proof you need to see that it's a function of team and not LeBron.

That's fair. The only slight nitpick is that I'd say he would spot up a bit more if he had the same amount of wide open spot up opportunities as KD.

If LeBron had playmakers like KD/Steph/Draymond on his team, how do you think that would change? We know LeBron moves really well without the ball, he's fantastic picking his spots and slashing to the rim.

I don't think you understand the dynamic between an excuse and an explanation if that's what you came up with.

Wait, you think Irving is as good of a passer/facilitator as the other guys mentioned in that post? Holy moly, that's amazing that you think that.

Problem with most LeBron fans is they tend not acknowledge when he did have the better teams, either in the eastern playoffs or the Finals. They just attribute it to his greatness.

People who support both MJ and LeBron over all else can be a little duplicitous.

So his 30+ points he scored the other night doesn't count as help than? Now lebron needs a true PG to beat the warriors?? That is amazing if you think that.
